Marijuana growing tips for beginners: http://bit.ly/2dlR1XI (includes useful tips on how to improve bud quality)

Tip 1: Always Grow from Seeds and Not From Clones
The drawbacks of starting with clones can prove to make the entire growing experience a wasted effort. Clones will incorporate any diseases, pests, and genetic weaknesses of the mother plant into your crop.

Tip 4: Start with a Good Soil
A fine-quality organic soil will supply all of the nutrients that your plants need. A well-prepared soil should need no amendments, or only very little towards the end of the crop's growth cycle.

anyone want to add their tips

Well I got to start with - I clone all the time to further my production and breeding, and never have any issues with clones in my garden. Now poorly cared for clones, or ones with pests I totally agree with you. Cutting clones from your own healthy mothers is all good in the hood. MD

I love growing with my own clones. I find a pheno that I like and grow it over and over. I'm on my 4th round of several right now. Don't be afraid of cloning! If I get a clone from someone else (which is very seldom), I inspect it with a magnifier for signs of bugs and dip it in spinosad for good measure.

My advice is to not do something that you haven't thought through. Too many times had I been to worried about the plants to think clearly and flushed when I should have fed or adjusted something that didn't need it only to regret it. Sleep on it.. Research research research.. Then act.

And when you need help with something, post pictures with natural light!! Not under an led or hps. Can't see anything but red and purple that way..

I could not have said it better Thank you. I dont know how many runs were "over loved" by me. Research time is time well spent thats for sure. MD

Being a new grower I myself am learning about so many techniques with training the plant. Best advice I have for that learning process is to take the first male your crop produces, now abuse it.. FIM it in places, teach yourself to supercrop, get comfortable with the tensile strength of your branches to properly LST without breakage. Just seperate him in a dif room and beat the hell out of em. Takes very little light to just keep him alive through it, and since he is now a learning tool all but watering can go by the wayside. Once you feel confident, toss him in a fire.

I find this makes good use of the male that would be otherwise useless unless breeding.

Hrrrmm.. Briefly skimmed the post above (forgive me fighting migraine). My advice is to choose a grow style & methods that work for YOU, you will not jump into someone else's way of growing and be successful right away. Be prepared to Learn and change on the fly as you grow, and learn something from the mistakes that you will make. If after your first grow you didn't make any mistakes or have no room to do something better, then take this advice, QUIT lying to yourself.
Oh, and most of all HAVE FUN!

I am wonderful, dealing with some banking issues with the nice cc lady, and I got most of the truck ready to plow snow. got some nice Plemon, Fireballs and Psycho Killer chilling out waiting to clone. All is very good my friend, my website is up and will be going truly live in a day or so, and I get to talk growing with all these cool ass people. So life is great these days. LOL. Youper or Lower?
