Well I am looking to narrow down my search for a few perfect strains. I was wondering what you all would recommend for what I am looking for? Basically this is what I need as far as strains go.

I am using a 150w mh to veg in a 4 by 4 room

400w hps to flower in the same 4 by 4 room

4in 170 cfm fan and filter from HTG

Couple 6in fans

3 Gallon pots with FFOF medium (No hydro for me lol)

What I want from my strains is simple....

I want a high yield strain that I can veg for 30 days and flip to 12/12. I dont want a medium or low yielding plant because I can only do maybe 6 at a time in flower under my 400w light. I think indicas will be the way to go as they dont grow to tall and penetration of the light wont be to good after they get 3 feet tall or so.

So far I have done a good couple grows in this set up

Northern Lights # 5 from Nirvana
Nirvana Short Rider
Big Bud
A few random bagseed strains that came out reg's with no seeds.

I want to get at least 2 zips a plant and have a perpetual grow that will never have me over my legal limit. So far I have never gone over but I run out of meds before the next plant is done. All of the Auto grows I've done have been low amounts...maybe an oz per plant. The NL was 2 almost but out of 5 seeds only 2 rooted.

I use fox fams grow big for veg and a whole slew of different products in flower but I wont go into specifics with all that unless you wanna know....

Back to the topic..

What are some good strains that I should look into growing in this room of mine? Im sure some of you have grown dozens of different types and that's why I am asking what your opinions would be on this.

I would appreciate any thoughts you might wanna share...

Thanks in advance

Dale

Picking a strain can be very dependent on your environmental factors, nutrients, ect. I like to stick with a solid indica hybrid for high yeild. Some good ones I have chosen were crimea blue and heavy duty fruity, currently producing lots of heavy duty fruity because of its bag appeal, overpowering fruity smell/taste, and high ass yields. That's what everyone (around here at least) wants in a bag of weed these days.

I have never seen those strains around but I would like to get my hands on some lol. Are they strains that will yield good at around 3 ft tall when finished flowering?

Yes the strains your looking for sound very similar to what I look for in the strains I grow. I get all my genetics off of the attitude seedbank, so far I have loved every single seed from them, I would highly recommend. I always pick the healthiest plant from each strain and clone the ones I want for mothers.

Look into any of TGA subcool's strains. To get your 2 ounces per plant, your probably going a longer veg time. To get your perpetual grow your going to need a separate room and up grade your 150 to at least a 400w MH. Keep four in flower four in veg the same amount of time your plants are in flower. The last two weeks of veg take clones off your veg plants and you'll never go over your 12 plants. I only use fox farms soil two with there nuts. Spend the extra couple bucks and get tiger bloom and gravity from humboldt, it really packs on the weight. Good luck.

You will have to actually grow some under your conditions to know what will work best for you.

I did a clone only Lemon G that was supposed to be a medium yeilder and got 19 1/2 oz's cured weight off of 6 plants.
Then grew a so called high yeilding strain of a white widow crossed with big bud and only got 2 oz's per plant.

Right now I have a few Mango's and a few Trainwrecks that are so big at 3 weeks in flower, I'm sure to get more then 4 oz's per plant.

The size of your pots will make a huge difference too. The ratio is 1 gallon or soil/medium for every foot of plant.

Best of luck to ya.

Remember that when growing from seeding you are rolling the dice in the genetic pool, you need to find your best plants from seed and clone them, with the seeds you find online and at shops around the world are indeed stable good pools to draw from, it is important that you stick with the breeders that have been doing it the longest with the most number of plants when you select your seeds but remember with these seeds you could need to plant 200 of them before you find the true gem. So if you can grow from clones from a large scale grower that uses these world class genetic pools that is a huge advantage and shortcut to you as a small time grower - it will still take you many years to perfect your garden for your environment and your needs so that is why it is important to get the best head start you can. I stand by any breeder thats been at it for 20+ years and also these large scale operations such as dinafim, they really do have superb genetics in comparison to the small time guys in my experience, nirvana is also fantastic.

with all that being said, you want yield and you want flavor and a vigorous veg, so imo get some good solid ak47 or hybrid with ak47 genetics and use LST and/or TOPPING/FIM TECHNIQUES - you need a 1000W MH if you wanna do this in 30 days (train big high yielding bushes) - in your setup your not going to veg anything enough really in only 30 days you need to upgrade your veg light or just keep being faced with long veg.
