I like to look straight down one of the side branches and trim lightly down until its isolated and move around the arms. Once this is done the main is all but isolated as well. I trim old growth and shady leaves from it and check again for shade spots from then on each watering but wont usually trim again for two weeks from then. Unl

Week 3 of flower and 2 plants growing a little differently. The 3rd got nitrogen toxicity during the switch. Any advice on trimming or anything as a finish out these 3 .
With plants at that stage you can look at the lower growth and easily see what is lagging behind. With decent size plants they will start to basically abort the lowest growth. That's the stuff to cut out. Everything else is fine as long as it's still getting enough light.

^^^^this is perfect advice to your question and why most wait until 2-3 weeks into flowering to do their bottom trimming.
Cheers :)
