Advice on cab grow

I have a cabinet about 6`tall 2' wide and about 14" deep, hiding exaust and fans and such is not an issue as the room its in is deadbolted anyway, but ive only ever grown autoflowering in a very small setup with cfls. I'm just not sure where to start with wattage and the number of plants i should grow. i was also leaning towards hps/mh. if anybody has some advice it would be much appreciated.

HPS systems tend to get very hot..if your grow space is small- i reccomend starting off with CFL's.. they say you should use 100 watts per plant. the more watts you have covering your grow box- the better results you will get. post some pictures of your setup so we can get a better idea of what you are working with.. any further questions let me know ill be more than happy to help you out if i can.. best of luck brotha

ah ok thanks for the advice man, i really wanted to try to get away from cfls but i guess its not possible :{ ive yet to do anything to the cab yet, im just trying to figure out what to acquire for said box at the moment .

i could actually even remove the back of the cabinet and create another 6 inches of depth.

cfls are awesome man they have ALOT of potential.. just need to learn how to use them to your advantage + train your plants so they get the most out of the lights.. LST method works wonders

those 2 plants were grown with just under 200 watts of cfl.. just a few bulbs.. pulled about an ounce off each plant

i guess for some reason i felt the need to use hps/mh because of the height of the cab xD idk. im a newb

about 300 actual watts of cfl's. tight nodes, good growth. but, with a cool tube, you could go HID in that cab; or T5's may work nicely. the secret with flouro's is distance. less than an inch is what i shoot for.

you could bisect the cab and do a perpetual shelf SOG

so would 400watt hid with a cool tube and a 250cpm inline fan be ok for one decent sized plant in there?

edit: sorry just saw your last post >.<, i only have a couple seeds of headband at the moment and don't really wanna buy moar seeds

and at any rate i wouldn't know where to start, i've only grown one plant at a time and they were all auto flower :/
