i am looking into using subcool's super soil mix for my next grow. currently i am using a mix of fox farm happy frog mixed with cow manure and compost, with some added per lite and coco coir chips. the problem is the soil seems to be lacking nutes so i have to add with my watering. i would like to try to do a grow with just water. i would i be able to use run 1/3 super soil with some roots organic potting soil cut with some cow compost f? i also see many different versions of super soil, which is the best one to use for small indoor grows?

You bet. After that read the stickies here in the organic section to learn about organic amendments and much more. Organic growers amend their soil organically not with bottled nutrients labeled organic. Also your organic soil can be reused. Like baking a cake, after a few times you just wait for the ding

In my experience with super soil.... just make some, I mix up two 2 gallon pots at a shot. I mix in equal parts of soil, Coco coir, and perlite then add bone meal blood meal bat guano a hefty amount of worm castings. I keep notes on what amount of things I add and how the respective plants do, but ultimately I prefer Coco perlite soil and I water with general hydro nutrients mixed as per the Lucas formula. I love having the buffer with super soil you can miss a watering and no big deal also you can effectively make it a hempy bucket by putting the pot in dish that's an inch or two tall and letting the plant take up what it needs. Growing is trial and error and a copious amount of reading that's for sure just keep notes I got a little note pad that's dated and I keep notes on feeding patterns, growth patterns, when I trim, top, or fim any thing any thoughts I write them down it helps seriously it forces you to think about what ever your writing.
