Hey guys so I do indoor and I have some property perfect running some outdoor but the problem is I know nothing about growing out doors but what I can assume. So little background... I'm gonna do the smart pots I was thinking 100-200gallon. Also wanted to do a mix of soil, peat moss, coco, few others. Not even sure on what nuts to use because I'm using FF but still looking for others to use. Don't wanna use fox farm on them fersure. So I know I need to plant by first week of may. But if you can give me A basic run down of how an outdoor schedule and feedings and such. I want to plant 50-100 not sure how many extactly. Thanks

Sounds like your gonna need around 140 ish yards of soil witch takes a work horse like myself I can move and till around 10 yards a day so plan on moving dirt for two weeks of your life

No one said there would be math.
That is 15 dump truck loads of soil $4800 + delivery if you don't have your own dump truck.I had them mix 50% organic compost with a sandy loom soil,i hope this mix is not to hot i plan on adding 120lbs of worm casings and 8 cubic ft of perlite.I struggled to mix 3 yards for 3 raised beds and three smart pots in 1 day.I hope to have the energy to move it into place tomorrow.

That sounds like a good mix. Do you have a small trailer? The wheelbarrow gets old in a hurry. Most folks who haven't done it can't grasp the work involved in soil prep. With me growing in the woods, I don't even try to to do very much per plant. My long walk soil mix was really hot, so I didn't have to use much. I called it my "I'm too old for this shit" mix.

When you are moving soil with a backpack and two 5 gallon buckets, you don't want to make any more trips than you have to.

Slow and steady is the way to do it. You will have "Hiker Hunger" after a couple of days of that.

Personally I would scale back your goals just a bit. Certainly believe in shooting for the moon, but you are setting yourself for failure.

Hhhmmm ok I see ....im doing another lil experimental grow with different strains than my normal grows ....did it last season and it worked out well ...found some I lived and some I hated ....but the area il be building this raised bed is guna be in a spot where the plants will only have the soil in the bed itself to grow in ......so your saying 18 inches deep roughly ......I just don't want a 10 footer falling over from being to shallow .....I can give the plants lots of area to spread roots out as far as soil it's just the depth of soil that concerns me .....thanks again

Do you realize how massive what your talking about actually is ....I usually do three 18 plant gardens outdoors and one expiremental garden with half a doz or so plants ......I do some in the ground and most in smart pots much smaller than what your planning ........with lots of help from patients I grow for and friends I'm still dealing with Octobers goodies .........if you did what you were saying and it worked ....you'd need an army to harvest that .....even a dozen 10 foot plants is an extreme amount of work .....I do lots of 5 footers that are trained and that makes it a bit easier to chop .....but I also do in ground monsters and the work never ends .......be prepared to work your ass off and spend serious $$$ to do that rite ......GL .....I'd start way small if I were you
