Hey guys, Can you please tell me what you think is going on with my plant. She has been like this from the time I transplanted her 12 days ago and she is gradually getting worse. The bottom fan leaves are turning yellow and then brown and now the upper leaves are slowly doing the same thing, but not as bad as the bottom. I thought it was nitrogen deficiency at first so I have been giving her some grow big but I don't think that is the problem because she is not getting better. The temp is about 80 in my tent. I am using ff ocean forest and I am flowering her right now.(No veg at all. she was 6 inches when I put her in the soil) Let me know what you guys think the problem is. Thanks. Photo on 2010-10-07 at 11.22.jpgPhoto on 2010-10-07 at 11.21.jpg and my water PH is at 6.8 but it was very high for the first couple times I watered. Like above 8.5. I didn't check the PH the first couple of times than found out later when I bought something to check the PH that is was extremely high

the browning seems like nute burn

the saggy leaves mean over-watering, though I will say there is no over-fert issue here, if there were, leaves would be brittle, yellowish ..

leaves look pale, though I wouldn't call it a day, ive seen grows like this one get back on its feet.

Good luck

I have only been watering when the soil is completely dry (about every 3 to 4 days) and the leaves that are not yellow are not droopy at all.

correct me if i'm wrong, you sprouted that seed in a rockwool cube, then transplanted it in soil .. seems like it looking at the first pic ..

how long were the roots when you transplanted in soil ? Id like to say you would have had better results with DWC ..

I know the answer isn't far, though I don't grow pot yet, I can only surf the net, and try to find a logical deduction to your problem ..

Im sure som1 else will shim in and tell you whats wrong .. I can only say I find it wierd the cube isn't fully integrated in soil, if any, maybe it shouldn't be in soil ??

Ya it was in rockwool first. It had good strong and long roots. I don't think it has anything to do with the rockwool not being all the way in the soil because it has grown about 3 inches already and all my other plants are the same and they are doing good.

im getting my water from my sink. it is purified. I think it is nute burn. I fucked up and have been giving her nutrients every watering. Should I flush her?

what is the ph of your tap water? i was using tap water too, it was 430ppm and 8.6 ph, i ph'd it down everythime. come to find out that the ppm was waaaaaay too high, as the case may be for you as well. purified sink water just means that the sediments and flavors (chlorine) are out. but there are still hard minerals in your water that will prevent and lock out certain nutrients regardless of your ph level. i bought a reverse osmosis system (0 ppm 7.0ph) for $150 at lowes and it has cured all of my problems that i was having.

i usually follow the directions of the nutes and feed them about 1/4 less strength until i am well into flower. try just feeding with nutes every 2 or 3 waterings and see if that helps. but with foxfarm OF you really don't need any nutes until you are into your flowering stage.

if you think you need to flush, flush with 2x the amount of the container with ph 7.0 water. but before you flush check your ph, a flush may not be necessary. try lowering your ph to 6.5, it is the absolute center of the chart for maximum uptake of all nutrients available with very minimal lockout if any at all.

Well I have a sink with a faucet and then a purified faucet. The regular faucet is like 9.0 ph and the purified is 6.8. I am flowering right now and using ff big bloom and big bud. I think ill just skip the flush and water with only water for awhile. Im also going to go to lowes and get the reverse osmosis system. thanks for the help d rock.

Burned and overwatered... I go rockwool to soil all the time, is no problem. If it were me I'd get superthrive, go 1/4tsp a gallon next watering..

Don't trust me on this because I read it off the back of a fertilizer bottle once. It said, "in my words", If you suspect that you OD,d the plant with fertilizer, make a proper batch and apply normally. Aparently The two batches are suppose to nutrualize each other out. Sounds like bunk to me. I go 1/6 of what it says on the bottle so I never have to deal with this problem. It's a weed.

Just put your plant on a regular schedule and don't give it anymore fertilizer until the next scheduled fertilizing. Your plant's ok.
