Advice Please

Hi, I am looking at a system and might be buying it. My question is about times or not. I am/was a soil guy so much of this is all new to me but I had always thought that if you keep your roots too wet they will get root rot. What this sales dude said was the system runs 24/07/365 meaning that it is spraying the roots all the time instead of like spray for 15 minutes an hour.

Please tell me, if I put my clones into the net pot (in a rockwool cube) cover the top up keeping the light out etc. How long should I spray the roots? I understand I will have to play with it but as a rule of thumb how long should I keep the mist/spray on?

Thanks so very much

Blessings

first why put them in rockwool, just a net pot and neoprene insert will do (see photo, I've been spamming this and should prob build a different one). Spraying 24/7 isn't a problem but personally I use cycle timers and have been experimenting with timings but have no findings right now, I just spray for 30 seconds or so then off for a couple minutes.

I'm really suprised he didn't try to sell you on a cycle timer with the system. hydro shops like sales.

I've had pretty much 100 percent success with this cloner so yeah it made it, I had one entire run that failed but thats due to I let it run dry.

How can I ever Thank You!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent! Excellent!~ Excellent! You taught me a ton of stuff in a matter of minutes. I had thought that I would ruin them by over feeding them as well as root rot. The pic of your Babies are awesome very healthy!~ Man in looking at your cloner I am thinking.....could I make the same thing only bigger for a grow? Like set it up like that only with like 3" net pots and do a sea of green? Is that feasable?
Please accept my warmest Thanks You save my wallet on this one :~)
