i have been growing one of my ladies in aero for all her life. and i was wondering if it wouldnt hurt her to move to a soil set up. shes a lot smaller than her sisters and i dont really want to flower her like the rest, lack of yeild. i want her to be a mother and so could i move her into soil easily or not?

Vande. You can do that, but you might not want that plant. Since clones are exact duplicates of the mother, those clones won't be yielding you much. Better to take you're best plant and make her the mother.

That's only based on the crap I read...I don't know nuffin'

Made sense to me though

well the only reason that it isnt that large, is because i broke its 2nd leaf off when it was very young, this prevented it from growing as fast as the others, and becasue of this it has not gotten as much light, but it will grow very will, and i think that i want it because i will be able to keep it for a few years, and it will not get very big, the children of it will be healthy and big because they will have the right environment, its the perfect mother, i just want to know if there is any way to safely transplant it.

From what I have gathered you really put the plant's life at risk when moving from soil to hydro or vice verse.

You can make the transition alright. Expect the plant to "stall" for a few weeks. After that, it should recover just fine. MJ plants are survivors above all else.

I think you would be better making her a clone in soil... might slow her down for a couple of weeks but whats the rush if she is going to be a mother plant..good luck

but you dont see, she is literally 2-3 inches tall, so takng clones wont work, i want her to stay small for the time being.

I would'nt do it EXPECIALY if it is to be a mother. While she will probably survive the stress it will preminatly damage her potency and growth. This damage will be passed to her clones.

P.S. Mothers should start from seed, and be replaced yearly by a new seed or clone of the mother. REMEMBER any stress to the mother will reduce potancy and weaken the mother AND clones!!!

I have done this and it will be just fine. I was using an ultrasonic fogger and switched to soil without stalling.

1. ero roots dont take well to soil. It may make it but your chances are slim.

Dude trust us U don't want to put a mum through the stress of a transplant, into a grow cycle to sex it, or anything else that will cause her stress PERIOD. She will never be the same.

alright...well i did it anyway...if it doesnt work i was gonna kill her anyway because shes not big enough for bud like the others.

If you have others that are healhty take a clone of one of them and start it in rockwool.

All Im tryin to say is dont half ass it when it comes to your Mum. Her clones can only be as strong as her
