Hey I have a few questions not sure if anyone knows. The humidity in the room is getting pretty high. I walked in the am and it was at 79. What can this do to your plants?

Also I plan on bringing another dehumidifier into the room so there will be 2.

I found this on a site regarding humidity:

The relative humidity of the air influences the functioning of the stomata, among other things. Cannabis flourishes the best with an RH of 60-70%. At higher RH percentages, the stomata have problems getting rid of excess water. At a lower RH, the stoma keep releasing water until the plant dries out. At that moment, the stomata close. Then, the intake of CO2 stagnates, and plant growth is impaired. The relative air humidity is also influenced by the temperature in the growing space. In the chart below, you can see the number of grams of water which can be absorbed in a 25 m3 room (for example: 3 x 3 meters, and 2.5 meters high). Absorption in grams of water (degrees C) 0 degrees 120 10 degrees 240 20 degrees 460 25 degrees 630 30 degrees 840 35 degrees 1120 40 degrees 1460 It may be concluded from this chart, that with every rise of 10 degrees in temperature, the air humidity doubles. Ventilation influences the relative humidity. Ventilating a space makes the RH fall. In some cases it's necessary to install a humidifier in the grow room. The best results can be achieved by using a discharge fan with a variable speed control. This way, you can easily regulate the quantity of air to be removed. When the plants are in the dark, the temperature is lower (the lamps don't give off any heat). So, you would expect the relative humidity to fall (less moisture can be absorbed by the air). But this is not the case; RH increases in the dark. The plants breathe out water in darkness. Therefore, sufficient ventilation must be provided. Too high a humidity level provides considerable risks for the health of the plants. Generally, pests and diseases (see Chapter 8) have a better chance with a high humidity level. Too low an RH is also risky; the plants can easily dry out. Prevention is better than cure . . . Finally, it should be stated that young seedlings and clones generally perform better at a humidity level of 65-70%. Their root systems are not yet developed well enough to take in water fast enough. A higher humidity insures that the young plants will be protected from drying out.

Brought the other dehumidifier into the room. Hope this will help while lights are on. Will bring it out of the room when lights are off. Plan is to try to bring more fresh air into the room this week.

I am posting some recent pics I need some feedback/ help here. The time previous to this grow I would like to block out of my mind - the crop was so airy and fluffy I was real disappointed with it. I wasnt sure what happened, there are some theorys but no hard facts.

I am not sure if its happening again. My partner says there are a lot of white hairs on the buds and he seems disappointed in where its at, at this stage of the game. Hard for me to know cause I wasnt hands on in the last blooper we did.

He thinks too much nute and some nute burns caused the fluff last time.

Right now the tips are slighty brown we have been holding down the nutes to clear them out and prevent any further nute burns. I think the PPM now is like 600. PH has always been right around 5.8

I wasnt ever sure if we should be using more light than we have. We have 8 600 watt/ 2 600 watt over each section.

Here are some pics - anyone if you can tell me how they look at this point its been 12/12 for maybe 3 weeks now.

I am really hoping for that dense bud.

this is the CHA CHING i was talking about in the other thread. its a pretty good hardener it was about 35 bucks, but there is enough in here to last at least 30 grows, it says to throw it iin at 4 weeks but ive found that 5th is more suitable.

Are you using a Aeroflo system? Reason I ask is because I don't want the tubes that feed the water to get clogged with this stuff. What system are you using.

Anyone using Aeroflo have some advice on this CHA CHING?

I know this brand is suposed to be good, just not sure if its good for this system.

Thanks Bro.

.....hey looks great!

The Cha-Ching disolves well quite fast, as do the rest of the nutes from FF---just not the regular Big Bloom(you need to get the hydro kind).
And the water from your dehumidifier is the same as RO and is great to use.
How deep are you running your channels?? I 've found that I get the best results from dropping them all of the way work the best for me.
Aren't you useing GH nutes?? Have you tried the Boost?? Expensive but I did see a bit more(maybe 10%) in the end and the buds were definately more dense.

You cant beat the AF's!!! Replace the spray lines every 4 crops or so----if you want to keep them like new....if you use a pin or tack to clean them, they're just never the same, IMO. Yeah, they're like $12 each and usually have to order them.

Looks great and great luck to you as well!!

Yea using GH on this one. Is the boost product you are talking about a GH product. I should look for it.

Yea the lines are dropped to the bottom. I appreciate the heads up about replacing them. Thanks!

Ill keep you posted check back and thanks for stopping by to add you thoughts!:-D

One more thing the boost - are you referring to co2? or is this boost a nute?
:eyesmoke:Sorry about that: Boost is Canna, GH's equivilant should be KoolBloom Liquid(GH). The dry stuff is hotter than hell, so if you use that do like a 1/3 of what they say, and 'when' as well. Most all of the micros that are powder disolve up good for the spray lines. The Cha-Ching you only use for the finish. FF is all good nutes too, imo. Beastie Bloomz is what you would want in there right now. There aren't many(if any?) organics you can use in the AF's that dont sludge up the "Laser-Drilled" holes in your lines.
Just keep your ppm's down there, say under 900---the NFT is quite the delivery set-up!

Get a pic up when you can---and have a great week!

I plan on taking more pics tomorrow. I just left the grow room its looking good. I know my partner added some thrive to the system about a week ago. I wasn't so sure about this but he claims its doing miracles. Its looking real good. I am topping off the res almost daily, as the water levels drop pretty darn fast. Those thirst girls...

Topping off the system keeps the ppm down too as the loss of H20 causes the ppm to go up.

I have been looking at other peoples grow sites and notices they start the 12/12 sooner than I did. I think I may try that next time. Looks like they focus on getting one cola rather than more like me. Not sure what is better or what makes for better yield. I am still curious as to how much this will weigh out to. Not going to hope for anything at this point or to try to guess. Dont want to be disapointed.

I know one of my home boys does 100 and yields 10lbs every 2-3 months in hydro system. He got it down to a science.

Hoping to be the next scientist.

The PH has been acting real weird on me - I use PH up to keep it at the 5.8 level. I come in the next day and its like 5.4. This never really happened to me. It usually hovers around the 5.8 not too fat off. Once I came in at was like 4. something. So I decided to do a res change tonight.

Added some fresh nutes. Oh by the way my partner got a sump pump to empty the res - what a great idea. So much better than the shop vac and having to lift it out all heavy and shit. Get the sump pump that gets real low. Get a hose to size I think we got the 25ft. and drain it! Best idea yet.

All the white hairs - well we see budz comeing out, slowly but surely. I am digging the Uncle Sam - govt. strain we got going. Not really digging the jush style. I like that fat chunky type look. Not the tall skinny bitch type look.

I no longer have the chiller on the res temp is staying low in the 60s. Humidity is about 60-70 in the room - what you guy think about this? I have 2 dehumidifiers in the room still cant get the humidity low like 40.

So I bought cha ching today, I added 20tsp. The can said, 1/4 a gal or 1/2 a gal. I did the 1/4tsp per gal, start off slow to see what it does. I need to post some pics. My camera batt is charging promise to put some up real soon.

The ppms today were about 640, PH right around 5.6, Rest temp 68. Humidity between 50-60. Room temp 75.

went around and pulled off yellow/ deads leaves on the bottom, I try to go this daily.

Here are the newest pics.

PH was a little low, brought it from 5.2 to 5.8 tonight. I am not sure why the PH seems to dip this stage in the game. Anyone know?? Or had this happen?

Other than that looking good, feeling good about things so far.

Going to try to add some more bloom tomorrow night. Kinda want to rest it tonight. I posted the meter readings. Dont want nute burn.:hump:

Great pics!
How's the cha-ching doing? Did you use the tiger bloom at all?? And is your PH still diving? Mine started to do the same thing about when you mentioned yours was. It'll go from 5.8-5.9 and then dive to around 5.4 before I catch it. That is usually every other day. I will do a res change tonight and see if that helps, although my AF is going through about 7-10 gallons a day........I can only imagine how much you are going through. But I would think that a res change with good water/nutes after a flush should level it out. You'd like Canna as the cannazyme is the sh*t for cleaning up the roots......I dont believe you can mix it with other chems/nutes as it and the rhizotonic has living stuff in it?? Well, I hate mixing brands anyway.....the way the spectrums overlap, or lack....idk.

Well, I hope you guys are having fun as you should be getting pretty close--what 2, 3 more weeks?

Can anyone with experience give me some pointers when it comes to flushing? One of my friend that grows in dirt says 2 weeks prior to harvest to flush with H20. I read somewhere that these systems may only need 3 days. I just didn't want to cute the nutes short but do want to give it a proper flush.

Whats the verdict?

I had the same question a few weeks ago. I read around alot on here and sent a few pm's. I chose to flush 3 days with water and floraclean and then 3 days with water only. Then I harvested with about 30% amber tric's. I noticed that when I got below the top oif the canopy the buds were looking immature. I decided to only harvest the top half and leave the bottom for a little longer. I changed my res again went with about 300 ppm and left it for a week. I am so glad I did, I am not sure I got much growth that additional week, however I could tell the difference. I did gain density and maturity. Then I repeated the same flush again. I am not sure what I did was the right thing but I think it helped my situation. I have a af60 but I have mine set up with all 6 chambers on one side due to space, so may not be as starved underneath. Hope this info is useful to you. Everything looks awesome!

When you did the first 3 days with H20 and floraclean did you change the res and do this with a fresh res? I am almost there. I feel you on what you were saying. Even if you didnt have in pointing in all the same direction there is always that under growth no matter what. They find room to grow and they do what they do. I was thinking the same thing as far as chopping the tops and letting the rest go a bit longer.:eyesmoke:

Thanks Bra
