Hi everone. First time grower and poster here, so i'll try my best to explain my setup.
Got an Aerogarden Classic from a friend who couldn't quite figure it out. Did a bit of homework online and found out about auto strains and all that good stuff. Picked up some other necessities and decided to start a journal. Feel free to post any helpful tips here, but leave the negativity at the door. This is just a fun learning experience for me, with a possible added benefit. Thanks
System = Aerogarden Classic, Default bulbs. Will attempt to add more CFLS, space permitting.
Strain = Lowryder2 x AutoAK Feminized, dubbed 'Easy Rider'. Ordered from Dope-Seeds.com yeserday, awaiting delivery.
Will be using the Gourmet Herb seed kit, removing prepacked seeds from rockwool cylinders.
Purchased small 'Aqua Culture' 5-15 gallon air pump, with 8' of same brand air tubing.
'Elite' brand 4'' Aqua Fizz Air "Stone", its more of a sponge.
API pH Test Kit
Nutrients I had a few questions about. From what I've found, people seem to be split down the middle on the use of Aerogarden nutrients and higher grade such as General Hydroponics.
I have 2 seperate sets of Aerogarden Nutrients, one marked with the different stages. The others are in unmarked, connected clear bags.
Due to location, the nearest place for me to purchase the nutrients I wanted (General Hydroponics 3 Step; Micro, Gro, and Bloom) is over an hour away. Any opinions on whether or not it would be okay to use the Aero nutrients? I was planning on doing 1 plant at a time, so rough estimate would be half a tablet or so every period.
Alright, thats all I got for now. I'll update when/if the seeds arrive.
