how do i change from veg to flower? i tried clicking all the buttons...
You cany flower with the AG as there is no 12/12 setting. You'll need to modify it by addind a fig 8 cord, a timer and taking off the AG light hood and suspending it. You'll need additional lighting as well.

Man, if you want to do this why dont ALL you guys spend come time reading the AG threads. I sure as shit couldnt have grown by just asking firing off questions and reading various folks opinions.

is 5 100 watt CFL's enough to supplement the AG light for 3 plants? i have mirror mylar surrounding it as well.
When you say cfl's, I'm assumiong you mean 100 w effective. Yeah, that should work. You need to have the bright/daylight cfl's for vegging and then switch them or just add some warm spectrum cfl's for flowering.

daylight is 6500k and warm is 2700k correct? and yea they are the 23watt 100 watt effective. should it be more warm spectrum than daylight for flowering or will just adding a few warms be ok?

Warm is what they need, but keep them all in there on a 12/12 cycle. Get an hps for flowering if you want big tight juicy buds.

if you're going with cfl's, you might wanna get the 40 watt, 150w effective. those seem to put out enough light, unlike the puny other cfl's that are the size of my thumb...;)

okay I had a monster of a plant growing in aerogarden and today my freakin lamp hood fell and snapped my plant just above the base. I had already identified it as a female and now I urgently need to clone it. Is It too late??? And how do I do it? It's a aerogarden deluxe btw.

get some cloning gel, snip the branches off where they meet the stem, and slide em into the AG pods so that the end of the clone is a little above the water level. put the light right up on em, and i guess put em on 12/12 light if you already know they're female, i'm assuming you were already flowering. if not, continue to veg until they're the size you want to flower

typically how long till i'll know if my clones have rooted?

also, im concernd about them not getting enough light. because i originally had 2 plants about a foot or so tall and only one of them got crushed. so now i have a big plant in the flowering stage and a few clones. if i were to lower the light it would smash my larger plant. what would you suggest?

i would suggest u lift the clones up to the light instead of moving the light

I've grown one crop in my Aerogarden, which turned out fairly well, but now I want to set up a system where I have stuff in various stages of growth. I've purchased a second Aerogarden and have four seedlings started. I purchased some fox farm big bloom and thought that might be good although I have to research how much to add when they start budding. I can't afford a ppm monitor, maybe testing for ph will be adequate? I also have a 150 watt HPS growlight on the way, so hopefully that will help too. I'm, going to try some cloning. I'm learning a lot here  but any additional help would be appreciated. I don't know how to put the lamp lower, is this necessary?

I have three plants currently growing--two were started together--white widow--and one a generic seed--i believe skunk (as it smells like it) was started a week later. the two ww are now 8 and 7 inches respectively and aside from yellowing they are going great guns. the third has shot up but only about at 5". i have the 12 hour cycle at this point with one large mother at 2700k ina mogul socket; the other lights are around 3000k; hope this is allright?....

Be careful w/ the fox farm, after talking to the ff help rep; who told me to disregard Ec/ ppm and just follow the directions, I almost lost the whole crop to nitrogen burn. Had to dump the res and start over at about 1/2 recomended strength. Are you using any other nutes in addition to the big bloom? Ec/ppm is just as important as ph.

so im new at growing, ive got an aerogarden setup with three seedlings right now. its been 3 days and they havnt sprouted yet. right now im using the nutrients that came with my AG in the herb kit. everyone is talking about fox farm so im wondering where to get it at or any other nutrients that you guys think are good. i hope they'll be okay with the nutes i have in there now.
