ok I decided to man up, swapped out that fruity light for something better, tho i think the aerogarden is a great idea for someone wanting something and someday I want to experiment with some shorter plants, but I only have 1 now, and want the max that I can get out of her, so heres what I did, 2 150w cfls on a timer with a fire trip so I dont burn this mother down, funny story, i was at home depot picking up the lights, and there were 2 guy there looking at bulbs, one said to the other " are you sure thats not just gonna cook em" I chuckled assuming that they were talking about what one would imagine, they burst out laughing and said "damn right white boy we all got the same dreams" i laughed my ass off. then they gave me a little input on a few things. whole damn worlds gone herbal i guess lol. so heres what the new setup looks like... please... input! good think im in BC and this is legal~:peace::peace::peace: btw... are these postings secure because ive heard horror stories about monitoring and busts from ip addresses due to photo uploads...

Great job.. sorry about the male, oh well one out of 2 is better than none. :-) Setup looks great. You can get grow lights at HD, how much$?. I am thinking about an LED set up for light< I know they don't carry them at HD yet. It is legal in Califronia as well, all I had to do was get the permit for health. Keep me posted. Next time I am putting in a fan for sure. L8R

I spent 50 bucks for everything bro, I told the guy that worked there that i was looking for heat lamps to keep my duck eggs warm, IDK why he believed that, but I got the 2 lamps that are good for up to 300 watts standard each, which im running at half capacity, they were like 8.00 a peice and 9 for the bulbs, then i got an automatic timer for em for 5 bucks, and I decided to get 2 separate fire stopper extension cords that kill the power immediately if something shorts, only needed 1 but I really cant have a fire lol. and they were like 10 bucks each. and that was everything. im still trying to locate some fox farm nutrients, i know nothing about nutrients yet, i was trying to get my setup down first. im thinking of adding a fish bowl air bubbler just a cheap one from like walmart or something, what do you think? would it make a difference?
Medically ehy? me too. Turns out vaporized THC is better for an asthma attack then a majority if the fast acting inhalers lol. go figure, even the with smoke, the thc softens the lung muscle tissue for up to 8 hours.

BRACDIVE I was researching your idea with the LED lighting, I cant find much, ive seen a few things saying that its a different light wave length, in turn, actually producing more non visible light.... or something lol. Have you heard anything good about these? This would be an awesome concept to master

check this site out.LED Grow Lights.com Home Page. I am thinking this is the wave of the future. Cheaper, cooler, all around better.
that shits awesome! heard any yeildings from it?

TODAY SHE MEASURED OUT TO 11'' TALL AND 16'' WIDE!

OK so the new lights, made a DRAMATIC difference in just the 3 hours that I had them running, Ill get some pix up to show you how much they actually are helping, I also added an airstone which i hear is very helpful. I HAVE FLOWERS starting, i hope they show in the pix, well see. I have my timer set now, 12 12 no more setting my alarm and pulling plugs lol. ALSO about one of my past postings... has anyone heard of any issues with posting this stuff on the internet? I know of busts from MYSPACE idiots putting their little gardens on their photos, but are these sites TRUELY safe?

In the last photo you can see that my leaves are being a little weird around the edges. I was thinking Nutrient issue seeing as how i have never really regulated the nutes and have never checked the PH. I added 1 more tab fully dissolved to the water ANY input will be helpful.

The leaf problem could be nutrients , I only add 1 tablet to one gallon of water and add as needed. Then I siphon out all the water once ever 3 weeks or so and add new mix, again 1 tablet per gallon. If you don't start over once in awhile I think the balance well be hard to regulate with out an expensive meter The air helps alot, I have that in mine as well. Did the lights you bought say they are for growing? Have a pic of the bulb or name. Are you starting to use co2 yet? Make your own. L8R Great job so far:peace:

the lights are Just the regular FULL spectrum CFLs they are soft white and produce 2600 Lumens each, which was the max I could find at the store, the brand name is N:VisIon, There is a lot of different company that produces these kind of bulbs now days. VERY low temperature and low power use, which is what I like. They are 150 equivalent and only use 42 watts per bulb. so 5200 lumens using only 84 watts of power. They did not say that they are grow specific. As for the CO2 I dont really understand it. How did you make your co2 setup?

I use 2 water bottles 16.9 fl oz (500ml) put 2 teaspoons of yeast, 2 to 3 teaspoons of sugar in the bottle with it 1/2 full of water.Put the cap back on and let it sit for 30 min or so then shake, take the cap off and cut or drill a hole in the cap (3/8 in or so )and put it back on the bottle. The mixture of yeast, sugar and water make co2. Works for about a week then repeat. You can use bigger bottles, just add more to size. Keep bottles above the girls , co2 is heavy and falls down not up, plants absorb it at night when sleeping mostly.:peace: Latest pic of my girls and co2 bottle

WoW they are looking tasty mann!

So I was wondering about fire issues from co2 gas which I later found out was not flammable, yet very bad for you to breathe here are some facts I found about it.
---------------------
(Emergency Overview:
Carbon Dioxide gas is colorless. At low concentrations, the gas is odorless. At higher concentrations it has a sharp, acidic odor. It will act as an asphyxiant and an irritant.
Carbon Dioxide is a powerful cerebral dilator. At concentrations between 2 and 10%, Carbon Dioxide can cause nausea, dizziness, headache, mental confusion, increased blood pressure and respiratory rate. Above 8% nausea and vomiting appear. Above 10%, suffocation and death can occur within minutes.

Contact with the cold gas can cause freezing of exposed tissue. Moisture in the air can lead to formation of carbonic acid that can irritate the eyes. All forms of Carbon Dioxide are noncombustible.

Carbon Dioxide is heavier than air and should not be allowed to accumulate in low lying areas.)
------------------

So be careful not to use too much co2 if your area isnt well ventilated.

So heres a thought... Anyone ever heard of a way to keep one plant going, and pluck as you go. ya know, harvest what you want for the next few weeks and then let it keep going? If so how long can this go on? Im only using it for my personal use so...

The gas is nonexplosive trust me, very safe and plants love it. plants thrive on it, plus it is such a small amount no worries. I close my box at night then open during the day. You can harvest your plant, then start it back to 24 hour and it will reproduce again then start clones. There are a lot of post on these subjects. Home made co2 and harvest. :joint:.. L8R:peace: And thanks

OK SO DID I JUST FUCK UP? I trimmed 2 leaves off of the bottom, they were looking a little sick, and pissing me off, I was being dumb and didnt read first! Is this ok? I also added CO2 today, I made my own prototype of a way to get it nice and close to the plant. ill post pics in a bit. IS PRUNING BAD?

Ok so heres what I decided to do with the co2, i made this container, added the mixture, melted airtight openings around the tubes, and a vent at the top, because the gas sinks it will collect in the bottom of the bottle, above the substance, so the venting hoses are positioned right above the water level, then i placed the 2 gas lines where I wanted them on the plant.

What do you ya think?

i like it let me know if it makes a diff i wanna try it
DO IT ASAP I wish I did it sooner, 1 night of CO2 and I had tons of growth, 2 inches in height, and 3 in width, she loves it, they are now at 13 H and 18 W. Im actually in awe of the overall progress from the introduction of just this small concept!!! i decided to kill the fan at night so that the co2 can do its job and trickle down the leaves and stem as I intended. if you look at the last pics i posted, by the next morning the head of the plant was above the hoses that I had positioned to the wall! CO2 is god to these plants!:peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace::peace:
