Aeroponic X-Stream Propagator - Hype ?

Just wondering whether there genuinely is an advantage (in terms of speed) for those using these type of cloning machines vs traditional methods.

22.5 Degrees C (Dome and Rez)
Rhiztonic added to tank
15 mins on / 45 mins off
96% humidity

There seems to be a lot of people giving a decent range of variables of the values above that they use which give them "their" best success rates.

It's the being able to automate the process which appeals to me. I want it to be as simple as traditional methods however; if it's even more difficult to dial in then that ease of leaving it alone is outweighed by the complicated nature of the approach.

Currently 48 hours since they were cut and put in the system !

Some of the best and low stress results I've gotten. Are simply to dip the cut in a rooting powder, and let them sit in willow water, in indirect lighting - No light above the cut.
It will not photosynth the plant fast enough to feed off the leaves and yellow out quickly.
This method works well for hard to clone strains!

For the Buba's out there that enjoy learning something new everyday.

Willow water is a biological method to extract the rooting hormones indolebutyric acid (IBA) and salicylic acid (SA), that are present in sufficient quantities in the Willow (Salix) trees to extract as a liquid that stimulates root growth.

Fantastic ! Always looking for different approaches. What sort of speeds have you found your cuttings root at, and in terms of automation, can these cuts be left withojt intervention. Curious to know what sort of medium you have used for this method...

Thanks
