Affordable automated process?

Here we are in 2017 ...
And were still having to cure by burping glass jars?
I expected to be riding a wheel less hoverboard by now.
Is there an automated curing machine on the market that's affordable for the non commercial grower?
I saw the ez cure but does it really work well for it's price tag?

I am lazy and want an automated solution for curing a lb or two at a time!

I don't know about the ez cure, googled it and got results for curing cement.

People do build curing rooms that eliminate the burping, just good humidity control and some air movement.

Thats a rip off. Im not even sure what it does other than give you an rh reading. Popping yiur jars 1x a day is too much for you?yikes
Ya it kinda is especially when I fly out of town for weeks at a time. I can set my lights and water on timers. But unless I pay a friend and trust them with a lb, what am I suppose to do bring a lb pickle jar in my carry on?

If you don't have time or it's too much trouble to do simple tasks, maybe you shouldn't be growing. Just sayin

I like this idea, do you know any links or resources that might point me in the right direction? I'm sure I have a lot of the stuff I need already.

with craftable commodities; wine. beer, cigars etc... a lot of the value comes for the finishing process(es) parallel the value of the product.

crafted by hand will always be viewed more positively.

IMHO, I really hate how machine trimmed flower looks. over time it takes on this pebble like look, I really find unimpressive.

Ok well you stated you are just too lazy. If you are out if town on occassion then i recommend trimming and curing when youre at home:roll:

Sorry, I meant to say it is good humidity and temp control for the walk in curing room. I've read some posts on them here at RIU but too long ago to find them now. But they're out there. I think it is just a matter of getting your ideal temp and then slowly stepping down the humidity over a couple weeks. There are teks on it somewhere around here. I'll post a link if I stumble upon any.

Isn't the process of creating, refining, and finishing of alcohol and cigars likely 99.9% automated? At least here in the USA

While I made no reference to trimming, i would consider an automatic trimming machine if I were producing more than a lb at a time. Doesn't change the quality of the bud and you can always further trim with scissors to your liking.
But trimming is like a one and done where curing is just a hassle.
I like the motto work smarter not harder and seeing how almost all the rest of cannabis growing can be automated cheaply on the consumer level, I was curious if I was just missing something for curing.

Seems there is an opening for a tech person to make some money here...Air tight lid opens on a timer and a mat underneath agitates..then closes. Im not up with the young technogadgetthingamagigs but doesnt sound to complicated.

You can use refuse bags for burping large batches. Also useful for keeping the light off which gives a lighter coloured final product.

I have thought about just keeping in a tent with the dehumidifier on and a fan going but think it would cure/ dry out too quickly.

Or the opposite of setting the dehumidifier too high and getting mold in a sealed area.
