After 20 year I need a new strain

I have pondering this and it is hard to really put a finger on what I want, with out just describing what I like about the star. I guess like how Otis is doing it I need to play the field a little bit.
I have picked up some C4 that I will be popping later tonight. Looks very different haven't grown a fruity strain in a while

Since they are both American companies I guess I will try both of these, see who ships to Canada,
The short time I have been doing this most recent research on strains and the seed business in general, I have really noticed a shift . Before it seemed that Vancouver was the center of everything , not counting Europe of course. Now it seems like Vancouver is the back alley dealers of the world and the more legit operations have started down south and spread out. One thing that has really broke my heart about seed business, is that Marc Emery's business now links to that sideshow disaster of an online business BC seeds, WTF is with that?
I remember when Canada was the place to order from for us Yanks. We got a lot of orders confiscated or Marc Emery didn't send them. I knew peeps that would drive up to pick up their seeds and sneak em back. There was some good genetics to be had for sure especially the early outdoor finishers you guys grew on the islands.

ive popped hundreds of seeds over the last few years,, i had good seedsman skunk, nirvana nl, cbd critical mass, th bubble gum and bomb cherry bomb.. those wer the best out of at least 50 strains.. i really liked the th bubble gum but just after 2 years its seemed to yield less n less, i made S1's of her but wright now im liking the cherry bomb, smells like fruit cocktail, leaves look sativa dom but it finishes in 50 days and its really budded big buds all down the stems and tons of crystals.. i just planted 3 of each bcbd the big and 3 mr.nice g13/skunk reg seeds,, hope to get a nice female,,but im always hopefull i guess its why i keep planting more,, always hoping to get that killer plant that i can run for years like the old nirvanas misty,,god i miss her.. she was like white widow on steroids!!!

I have been growing the same strain Hempstar for 20 years now. Same plant the whole time. After my most recent fuck ups my poor plant doesn't seem to have the vigor to recover. It is really getting weak. I am thinking I am going to have to let it go. Feels like a great friend on her death bed, she sure has treated me well over the years.

I am having to move on and I am looking for a new plant to take her place. I am really not in the know for what is latest and greatest other then the marketing hype. I was hoping for some suggestions for something special.

Rest in piece HS

Nice tribute to your plant Los Reefersaurus.

I'm curious though, after so long with that one lady, didn't you ever develop any kind of tolerance to the strain ?

That is one of the shocking things about the star after the initial one or 2 smoke tolerance I never seemed to develop any more, until she started getting weak.

Save that plant, u gonna regret loosing her when shes gone. I get easily bored with the same strain easily. But one that stands out was my cheese and jillybean that i saved for 3yrs, And was lost how i wish i knew better to keep them

I am going to keep her limping along for now. I have recovered some plants and have some that are vegging well, and a couple of these healthy ones are in week one of flower. We will see what happens to them. I think the strain was staging some sort of protest and since they have caught word of me bringing in scab plants they have picked up their socks and have started growing more properly. I have some GG#4xBubble x4 coming in the mail, I have some high hopes for these beans . Of course like any good team manager a new player has to earn their spot on the roster, So will be growing Hempstar for quite a while to come.

Seems like the only logical choice would be sensi seeds Jack Herer, or Nl#5 x haze.
Pretty much same genetics as hemp star if memory serves me correct.
