after all the research... Q's on aphids?

recently i grabbed up a bag of Roots Organic from the local hydroshop. Long story short ... the bag must've been filled with pests ... I got some gnats in there and one other thing ..
::On a side note i do most of my own research, i ckecked the net, and own a variety of books on growing and one that focuses on cannabis pests and plant problems but with no luck:::
I don't expect to get much feedback since i can't take a picutre of these shitty little pests but i have some tiny brown bugs that are crawling out of the soil and SEEM to be staying in the soil and circling the lid of the pots.
I was thinking aphids but, upon observing ones that are attacking a bush outside, they aren't adult aphids. I notice aphids ( correct me if i'm wrong) focuse their attention to uppermost vegetation and congregate there. This is what i observed of the ones outside of my house.
I'm off track.
These bugs are tiny ( the size of young gnats and alot smaller than an adult gnat), do not fly, are brown, but the one key to help me finding out what this is is ..... They have a hard body that doesn't crush easy. They also remind me of spider mites but i can't see damage yet and they seem almost too big to be a spider mite.. .

Apologies for no pics but these fuckers are almost too small and too fast to get a good pic of. and if i do capture one.... i have to destroy it practically to get a decent look.
I don't expect alot of replies with the limited info ... but any ideas or guesses are appreciated and repped.

Good "HYPOASPIS MILES"

Alot of soil companies are realising that their products are getting infected with some pests once in transit to suppliers etc. They are combating this problem by using HYPOASPIS MILES which are a natural fungus gnat predator.

They have the common behaviour you are describing. Especially when you water they come up circle the lid wait and go back into the top inch of the soil

Word???? I'm researching them as we speak ...they seem similar, they are however, ABUNDANT. I just watered a plant for the first time in over a week. A TON of smaller ones came pouring out of the soil. Same behaviour ... just circling the top of the pot quickly i might add..... it makes alot of sense ....I've heard alot about Roots being over run by gnats. I know i've experienced it first hand.

they certainly don't sound like aphid ataxia. from what I have seen when I get aphids on my roses or lettuce, it tends to start with these almost stick like white fly, then you get the green adults, but they are always on the leaves and not in the soil, then they start breading and it's chaos. Most aphids when knocked off the plant tend not to get back on it so I think Jondamon has nailed it on the head there.

Very interesting post about the predators Jondoman, thanks for sharing that.
