AG seed sprouting

I started working with the aerogarden and I have good, germinated seeds in the pods already. I started them of in a paper towel and moved them into the soil. Its been roughly 4 or 5 days and still no sprouting. I was wondering how long it can take for seeds to sprout in the AG. Maybe Im just being impatient. please get back to me.

shouldnt take long, the ag only takes a couple days for me.

then again the seeds took about 2 weeks to germinate. Im afraid to check you think it might be fucked?

I just checked one of the sponges. the seed was like denatured do you think it could be from too much moisture?

I've never read anywhere of any seeds taking that long to germinate.. From getting in paper towel to shell/crack sprout it should really be about 3 days max if the seed is good, perhaps longer, but surely not a week even at the worst case scenario.

true. I had a sour diesel seed that germinated in 2 days sporuted in 3 and died of nutrient burn. the tiny starter leaves were dry and cracked.

I'm having the same issue right now...you have to help guide the taproot...cut the sponge in half length ways so the taproot can find its way down easier. Im going on 6 days without sprouting - just cut my sponges in half length ways today after good advice from korvette. hopefully my seeds are still viable.

This is true I believe. Just from reading up on these forums I've heard that you might have to make sure the root isn't growing sideways or some shit. Just don't waste good seeds on your first grows...but you have to start somewhere.

I just germinated some more. trail and error time. one danko seed it a growsponge with the inside cut in half and softened, the other in a jiffy peat pellet until im able to transfer it into my set.
