so here is my setup. there are pics to see lights, size, DiY co2 setup and plants.
after reading about adding yeast and some type of sugar with water in a bottle and hole in cap, i decided to take one step further because i also read about adding Co2 to res.
i have one bottle(large) with yeast and sugar/maple syrup with tite hole in cap. ran 3/8? tubing maybe could be 1/4 but ran that from bottle thru one of the un-used AG holes into the res. the idea being that the yeast will react and bubble up thru the res thus adding some co2.
the other bottle is just for the room/area.
can see i have ventilation from intake on bottom to exhaust on top.
have ph meter. currently 5-ish
have ppm meter. currently 200-ish
have light meter. currently 4-5k lumens per sqft
not using AG nutes. not using any nutes at moment.
have access to 50% h2o2 and have res treated with ~2-3ml
first i tried paper towel method and germinated the seeds then placed them in AG. they stunted and did not grow.
then i started this batch in the AG and this is where i am at.
trying to answer as many questions with as much info as possible........
have hydro ph kit for up/down adjustment.
i just added the co2 1 day ago.
i had the AG set on tomato setting which cycles the water on/off for a specified time but read here that most have set to run 24hr so i try....
thinking i might be watering too much so i gonna turn off and see if roots will reach and force growing for a couple days.
was using the hps but was told to turn it off for now. which i did.
that about all i can think of......do not have an air stone but i tend to keep res 3/4 full so the foam and roots and suspended and the falling water will help aerate.
