After you flower your girl, leave a few bottom branches with a few small buds on them...reveg this nub...it will turn into a monster that you will get some clones off of but it will have so many branches to train into a SCROG it's ridiculous...like 20 plus colas if trained right...good luck man keep us postedThanks for the in put everyone yesterday i did some LST and toppedgoing to wait and top it one more time that way ill have 4 colas with any luck

thor you fucking peanut, im not an ass all the time. Just when some tard starts peaching nutrient lockout at 7, or manganeese deficency, or telling a hydro grower not to feed for three weeks, or just regular bullshit that makes the people in plant problems spend a ton of money for no good reason and then come back and tell us all on riu that were a bunch of morons. I call spades spades and call people on bullshit all the time, but really most of the time youll find me in plant problems trying to help guys out or in newbie central helping guys design grows or giving advice and making the inconceivable workable. Got a pile of equipment coming in tonight for another project so im fired up. The only thing that makes me mad is lies, calling me a liar, and thor gonadson from time to time. Just kiddin bro, your alright sometimes.....you know what they say, slow and steady wins the race

Hah, thanks man. Yeah I only had one plant (out of 6) my first grow that was as good as the og, but it only yielded 2 or 3 ounces. Now that I've got my clones down I can quit watching these keeper phenos pass me by.
Right on dirty nerd. Can you show us a pic where you topped it? What node did you cut it at?
If you're topping this late in veg, you have to be careful not to go overboard bc each cut will cost the plant time (its almost like you push pause for a few days after you cut them lol). You want to make sure that the plant is going to be right where you want it when you put it into flower; if it hasn't had enough time after the cut then the tops will be small, and you can either flower with smaller colas or have to wait longer til its ready.
If I were you, I would do this: give it about a week to ten days to let those two new tops get like 7-10 inches long a piece (or whatever, however fast she grows). When they are a good size each, bend the tops down away from each other, one on each side so you are making it like a " T ". The branches growing off of each top will grow straight up towards the light, and if you give them enough time (and with a little supercropping or more LST'ing) then most of those branches will turn into terminal colas.
Its an easy way to get more than 2 tops, and with only retarding the plant for 1 period instead of cutting again and again. I've had great success with this method, you can even put a little individual scrog screen after you tie them down and let the branches grow up through the screen--its some pretty awesome sauce. I have pics somewhere in my attachments, I'd have to look

Btw, fried me forgot to add, to tie them down in like 7-10 days and then keep vegging for like 2 weeks after that and then put it in flower. Gives the branches time to become actual tops.
What size pot are you in? When's the last time you transplanted?

Rik, are you talking about taking a plant at harvest, cutting all the main tops and leaving the small bottom branches with bottom buds, and then taking clones from the bud branches? Every time I harvest I cut pieces at a time, taking some at all kinds of different stages to test out the highs. Nah man, what you do is take that girl all the way to harvest, then just leave about 4-5 bottom branch nubs (cuz you cut them) with some bud and some small green leaves...put that back into veg...wait 1 week and top all those budlets you left behind, inside of a month you will have crazy branches to clone, and you can SCROG what's left (or leave her to mother)...((need to train during this time))...I've done this twice to 1 girl and her potency is the same the second and third time as it was the first, but more, cuz the branches were so thick and the roots so strong and in a 10 gal pot...I got 12-1/2 zips dried/cured off her, she had 32 branches and covered a 5 ft area but only 26 inches tall...lol...and all IN 3 MONTHS!!!!

Fuuuuck man, the best plants I've ever had were prepped and ready to go for that; I'll take a few cuts at first (starting to harvest) and then will leave her for another week. Then I'll cut most of the rest off, leaving the little nubs like you're talking about.
But usually at that point, I'll take her and put her in a closet for a few days. But next time I'm definitely gonna re-veg and see how she does. I love just playing around and experimenting with stuff just to see how it turns out.
Not to mention, I never know which ones are keepers until flower (the really good ones you can tell early on, but still have to wait for at least 2 weeks to see how good the crystal formation is).
So I assume when you re-veg her, all the new little branches grow with no nug until you put her into flower again?

check out the mainlining thread...that might be a way for you to go if you're going for yield. of course, i would expect this particular grow to be a learning experience if you do make an attempt, but try, try again, perfect your craft and you will yield 8 or 16 cola plants with 8-10oz on 'em.
