Air Conditioning ???

Someone told me today that they use a portable air-conditioner in their grow room to control heat, humidity and odour. Is this beneficial??

He has a room which is 15' x 15' x 8' (using 6 x 600w HPS)

I currently use 8" extraction with 10" filter and would consider using portable aair conditioning on my next grow if some of you experienced growers could give me a little info.

Any help/advice welcome

Portable ACs don't have a thing to do with odor unless you rig it up to a carbon filter, which would be infinitely more of a pain in the ass than using a regular inline since 99.99% of portable AC's have rectangular shapes and you'd be spending hours modifying it to attach your filter to. As for humidity, some portable ACs do come with dehumidifiers built in, but generally speaking, if you have a failure in your grow room you want it to be one single thing and not be wiping out both your temp control AND your humidity control in one fell swoop, but thats just my 2 cents I like to prepare for the worst.
