Air temperature and water temperature in veg state.

Good morning I’m planning to grow granddaddy purple in a 2x2 tent 8 gallon waterfall rdwc system. My tent is in my garage which is partially heated. The air temperature is typically between 58-64 degrees F humidity around 50 in the tent. I have added an inline fan in front of a space heater set to 65 F. When the heater kicks on the temp rises to 77 in the tent and humidity drops to 35. Is the air temp high enough without the space heater in the tent? If my dwc water is 65 degrees F does the air temperature matter? Thanks for any info

Yes, air temp and root temps matter. You want res temps cooler than air temps. I keep my air temp at about 80 - 81°, and my res temps ~68.

I would think an aquarium heater in the rez and those temps would be fine
But wait for more informed answers

How do you keep your air temperature constant? My space heater brings up the temp when it’s on but temp drops 10 to 15 degrees when it’s off. I’m sure the fluctuation is not good for growing.

Yea you definitely don't want them roots getting too cold either.

Well, in your case, I might get a radiator heater and a temp controller.

Maybe hps if you don't use it already?

Do you keep the radiator inside or outside the tent?
I believe the radiator would be safe inside of the tent. Don't put the space heater in the tent.

Get a temp controller also.

I would hang the radiator somewhere, where there will be room, but don't let it touch the sides of the tent.
