Strain: TH seeds Akorn aka Snowbud
Growth: Soil and Hydro (DWC) Very hearty trouble free to grow. Great for a beginner.
Nutes: Dynagro Grow the Dynagro Bloom during flower.
Yield: Fair-Good
Bag Appeal: Fair
Smell: Fair Smells very much like pinsol/pine when cured.
Taste: Good Pine
High: Mediocre - Starts off slow and gets ramped up to where you are relaxed and have that invisible headband feeling, just as you start to think it's going to be a good high, it starts to subside and leaves you sluggish and tired.

This was a Herbie's freebie and I'm glad I didn't pay for it. Not impressed with this strain.
There is only one circumstance where I can recommend growing this, that would be if you got it as a freebie and are new to growing and don't have many seeds. It grows (in soil) without much attention and is very noob friendly. The smoke is ok but the seeds are near 10.00 USD at the time of this writing and you can get much better strains at the same price or for a dollar or two more.

The finish time is 20+ more days than advertised.

Cured nug

I'd have to rate this a 4 or 5 of 10.

Damn, and I thought THSeeds churned-out better than average quality...:o Surely some of their other strains must be bangin' .
Probably do and this one is not horrible but it's nowhere near as potent as the other strain I grew side by side in the same conditions. (I've had autoflowers in the past that were more potent as well) Could have been something with the genetics with the particular batch my seed came from?

Had a freebe as well from attitude from last year and ran it with good results. Must have gotten a better pheno example. This sample turned out pretty good.solid 8 Remember not every seed turns out to be great genetics of a strain. Some don't do a strain justice and turn out to be just mediocure examples of an old great strain. Here is what she looked like close to harvest last year.CIMG0814.JPG

I think the 20 extra days could bring the number down for someone incredibly. I am not such a numbers guy I like to let the plant do her thing. I don't really want a wild ass sativa that won't finish but I don't count the day to 60 like a lot of growers. I can't believe how many old school growers think that Sativa dominant strains are done in 60 days.... white hairs n everything lol.

Went a total of 70 days flower.(10 weeks) Mostly indica growth and I think she would do well in crosses for density, crystal coverage with other potent strains that don't yield much. (ie kushes)This old strain was good for what it was.

That's a really good idea. Even though my equipment failure resulted in the need to finish under a 250 HPS for a few weeks the buds are super heavy, dense and resinous. I've been smoking on this for a week or so and it's starting to grow on me.

Yeah gotta let do their thing. I see people all the time on here saying "it's day 53 only one more week!" when in fact they could use another month if they actually want to get something out of it. Same thing as eating green strawberries lol, no good.

My finding is most strains benefit from longer times, well longer than 56 days, except green crack. It really is done around day 63. At least thats the story the amber headed tricomes tell. The acorn is a nice smelling and crystally covered bitch. Reminds me of a sensi star cross to be honest. Remember an old article about the snowbud from years ago. Remember it saying the strain could produce dank, but was not consistant in the offspring. The ones of better quality were worth keeping. Here she was at 10 weeks.

Yeah, good report. I just finished and cured my Acorn but sort of pissed off as your report hit it on the nail. It really stank good during cure so I thought I had a keeper but like you said, the high starts off slow and goes no where after that. BTW I used the DynaGro line up too and the pics look just like my plant. Oh well, glad it was a freebee or I'd be upset. A 4 or 5 is about right.

Update: I got the fucking shingles but all of my "other" weed strains made them hurt more. I tried this Acorn crap again and it did help more than the stronger strains... for what its worth.
