Alaska, Oregon and D.C. legalized rec cannabis

Although a lot of the voter lobbying came from large corporations outside of those states for the prospect of large gains in the newly emerging markets, it's still a good thing.

As Canada continues to spiral downward into the nightmare it's becoming, I'm glad I'm pretty well surrounded by states that are waking up. Still sad that we have to 'ask' our governments permission for the most trivial things though.

I agree, it is pretty sad that we have to ask. But, I am glad these few states are taking the plunge, hopefully it will show the others how beneficial it is to our economy. And also, it will show them how harmless pot really is.

I do not know how I feel about legaliztion anymore - especially on the east coast, where it's all about $/politics and nothing else. Unless the individual is allowed to grow as much as they want in or on their property, it's not legal IMO.

In colorado you're allowed to have 12 plants at a time as long as it is in a locked room where no children under 21 and pets are allowed or have access. I am not sure about other states as I have not looked in to it. But that seems legit to me!

Until you can grow as much as you want on your own property, I'm against it.

Seriously, you have to lock it up from children? WTF. There are plants in my backyard that are DEADLY if a kid ate some. This is why regulation worries me...

Can you imagine getting your child taken away because you didn't have a lock on your grow room door?

Also, on the east coast cops are gonna be really upset and find other ways to generate income. If you get caught with weed, I can almost gaurentee your getting in trouble - they will make something else up to bring you in.

I'm so on the fence about any of this.

12 plants? That's barely ANYTHING! What if you have clones, veg, and flower? That's barely enough to get me to my next harvest....6 plants vegging for less than two months because you can't keep mothers or take a bunch of clones earlier, you have to take them right before you go into flower and they take a week to root.

Not nearly enough for a medical patient who enjoys concentrate or NEEDS edibles to medicate.

and in washington personal cultivation is still completely illegal without a 300$ peice of paper. it is however, perfectly legal to sell it at a store for 33$ a gram. (999$ an ounce for reggie)

The worst part here is, people who want to obey the recreational law have to pay 30$ or more a gram. (almost a THOUSAND DOLLARS an ounce for reggie)

Never Thought I would want to move to D.C.
Might be a great summer getaway.

Haha . I'd do 12 monsters at 1 time like 4 per tent in scrog under a 1000w. Imagine the yield off 3 4x4 tents and 3 1000w lights scrogging .i seriously doubt you could smoke all that in 1 year and if so I'll call ya Cheech.... then about two weeks before finish I'd secretly pop 12 more seeds in cups to get a veg head start . Keep the cycle going

That's not a bad idea but if I could only have 12 plants total(maybe that should be its own thread?) I would have 2 moms 1 sativa and 1 indica then I'd have 10 to work with. I'd put 5 in each tent all topped, supercropped, and lst'd
Or maybe 6 sativa 4 indica? Idk but I smoke more during the day I just need a heavy indica to go to sleep

Ballot measure 2 that passed only allows for 6.

The 1975 decision was important because personal use falls under the privacy part of the constitution of Alaska.

So BM cannot change the constitution so the 25 plants should still be legal.

Yea, but you have to veg those monsters for a long time. And your still 'secretly' breaking the law, so at one point you'll have more than 12 Obviously, I wouldn't adhere to that law anyway, just saying.

Hey, I'm complaining, but I'll definitely be making that drive to check out the scene. Very hipocritical I know, but how could you not. It's still historical either way. It's less than two hours from me

I agree a lot of the new legalization laws sound crazy, but look at the even crazier laws that they are replacing, and the even more crazier federal laws that still exist. I think in time everything will come around (I never thought that I'd be saying that).

1 plant per 5'x5' 1k tent ........... 4 month veg should fill it up nicely with enough room to side light
