2nd attempt at growing indoors. hopefully with all the info from here this time will turn out to be a little better than umm... dead plants like last time.

wanted to get the highest thc strain out there i could find so google resulted = alaskan ice. So off to Attitude i went and i swear less than a week later they were in the mailbox. They also sent 1 free dp seed so, what the hell its goin in to. Same day as the seeds arrived i got an email from the attitude givin away free power skunk? seeds just for shipping. they may turn out to be shit or males but what the hell.

So 10/22 started 3 of the alaskan ice and the durban poison. 4" pots soaked the soil shoved em in tip down and placed on top of the ductwork coming from the furnace.

In the meantime better to the tool shed to get workin on the veg chamber. it's 4' x 2' x 3' high. lined the bottom with 1" foam insulation and then covered the entire bottom and about 4" up the walls with black plastic.

10/25 - 3 days after hitting the dirt there all out.

10/30 - 1st 4 plants doing well in veg. started 2 more seeds. game plan was to try to harves 2 plants a week. better get my ass movin on the flowering chamber. did the same thing to the floor as i did the veg chamber. also painted the walls and ceiling white. have a 400w mh bulb in a 4x4x7 flowering chamber. The heat in the summer last year killed me. hopefully it wont happen this time cause it is halloween and it gets pretty damn chilly by pittsburgh.

11/7 - other 2 Alaskan ice sprouted and dropped to more in the dirt for next week. the first 6 plants look good and growing well. temps in the day got into the low seventies and night dropped only into the low 50 so they should be ok in there. everything seems to be going well, i'll be damned.

11/18 getting really damn cold @ night now took a temp reading 50 degrees. well um could this be the reason they really havn't grown much in about 10 days. didn't have this problem last year had to take the door off to cool it down, now all sealled up its to cold. GRRR... oh well out comes the trusty jig saw and hole get cut in the door to fit the front of the heater in. 750 w heater with fan on the lowest setting as to not dry stuff out to much. grabbed the thermometer out of the still and placed it in the chamber and set the stat on the heater to shut off @ 75. that seemed to work so seal it all up lock the shed and back home i go.

11/24 - starting to see more growth again. thank god all the girls are nice and warm now. good thing as it hasn't been above freezing for a few days now. noticed the tips of some of the leaves were a little light in color and curling up. prob from the cold should clear up.

11/30 - curling up and yellowing got worse and to was not from the cold. From reading in this fine forum from fellow farmers ended up being, to the best of what i could figure out, a Mg deff. started nutes and a little epsom salts. hope this shit helps

12/14 all looking pretty good temps staying pretty warm so heaters arent kicking on that much. ordered a 600 w improved spectrum hps w cool tube from htgsupply should be here in a few days. gonna top em now so they heal before flowering. there 3" away from the floros and the floros are raised all the way.

12/17 hps light came in. that was pretty fast. now need to vent the grow into the flower part to warm this chamber to. time for trusty jig saw and some dryer vent. newest leaves are starting to curl along the lenght of the leaf. its been really cold out and hope it's not from the heaters. Damn it. i wish i could do this in the basement instead of in the shed outside in december that would make life soo much easier.

12/22 - so the other day when i thought it was a heat problem, and it was from too much heat. as i said before i placed the front part of the heater in the chamber so fresh air could be pulled in. But in doing so the actual thermostat inside the heater was outside the growing area. when i first set the thermostat the temp inside the shed was 50 degrees not that big of a difference. The temp in the shed today was 36. damn jig saw again now the whole thing fits in there except for the air inlet. From reading on here (thanks guys) heat stress nutrient being built up in the soil and needs transplanted. transplanted all of em and placed 6 of them to flower. have not watered for about 4 or 5 days now plus the soil i bought was soaked so that should keep em good for a while. it should be a little better i there now for the remaining plants. Temps at the top of the plants after 1 hour under hps was 74 degrees shut the door and keep waiting.

12/26 - We'll lets just say this has been a pain in the ass. Now the HPS light isnt working, had to put the damn 400w mh back in and im not to happy. the damn thing has only been on for 3 days wtf, and HTGsupply isn't answering the phone. At least there is only 6 plants under a 400 mh, and i had one there could have been screwed cause after the transplant they wouldn't fit back in the veg chamber. I'm Pissed 300 bucks and all i get is a flicker when i plug it in. took a temp reading with the light off and 52 degrees. so the residual heat spilling over from the veg chamber vent isnt enought to keep temps where they need to be. Off to the wal mart to buy a heater
