Hey wats going on guys?
Ok...I was iin walmart today and they had 4ft Floresent fixtures for $9 a pop w/o bulbs
But there t8,
So my question is what's the diffrence,and can I use them, would they b strong enough?

yes, you can use them, but they are not like the t5's.. the t5's are high output bulbs, and the t8's and the t12's are not... this just means that each bulb will not put out as many lumens as a t5 bulb would.. but i have read of plenty of people who use the t8's and t12's just fine.. imo, the t's are best used for vegging and clones and mother plants mostly, and aren't your best option for flowering..

They have a "Daylight" fluorescent at home depot its a T5. Shows itself providing more of the blue spectrum, good for veg. I think the two pack was like 2 or 3 bucks. I bought a two lamp fixture as well for like $10-12. Ended up purchasing a second, kind of tied them together for a four lamp. Plants grew well and took to the HPS well, still in veg...

cool white is good for vegging high out put tho witch i didn't see at walmart when i got my cfls they had the cool white ones just not high output.

I have 4 fixtures with 8 t-8's then added a 150 hps.
Seems like a much better deal than cfls.
Costco & homedepot have these too.
