Man I always thought that shit was wierd too. It is absolutely confounding to me that people actually buy weed with seeds in it. People on here always talking about finding seeds in their top grade bomb ass weed. Where im at, you are NOT ALLOWED to sell weed with seeds in it...seeded weed is almost worthless. Its fucking garbage. I don't care if its the most bombest, stickyest, chronic-est weed ever. I mean that NO club and NO private dealer would EVER buy units from you if they spot a SINGLE seed in an ENTIRE pound. Examples:

Lets say you have a pound of bomb indoor PK and you're thinkin its worth about 4 grand. You take it into a club to try to sell it or get some cash and leave the rest on commish. The club's buyer spots a seed in it. Even if he paruses the whole pound and only spots a few, hes gonna tell you to leave and come back when you have something that was grown right. Every time.

Take that same pound to one of the local MR.Pusher-type guys moving a lot of units and he'll tell you straight up to get the fuck out, or he'll offer you $1800 for the same pound. And you better take that fuckin $1800 because you ain't gonna do SHIT ELSE with a pound of seeded weed besides pick out the seeds yourself and smoke that shit.

I guess all the seeded bud from NorCal must end up in your guys' 50 sacks, because ain't nobody around here ever bought a bag of dope with seeds in it. Crazy.

I pick up a bit of irish shwag there last year that had a load of beans in it so i planted a few and they didnt start to bud till late november! They were a textbook sativa, any way about five frosts ended up killing the bitch. Iv never found mature seeds in good weed tho. Any ideas whrere this shwag would be from? I was thinking equitorial africa.

LMAO..and where are you from? I have found a few **very random** seeds in some VERY top notch meds... Ya know what.. I'm not even gonna get into this. Worthless because a POUND had on or two seeds in it...WTF ever dude...

I too keep all my seeds from the Highest quality "mids" possible when I come accross it. Its basically a well known strain that some "comercial grower" grew in mass quantities and for some unknown reason, allowed it to on purpose (for more weight and to cater to different market?) or accidently allowed it to be pollinated and hence you have super nice dense, sticky buds, covered in crystals, and yet has 1-10 seeds per quarter (depending how bad it got sprayed). I keep them all and get sooooo pleasantly surprised like x-mas morning here and there.

I have without a doubt got a lemon skunk and some variation of a bubble gum from bag seeds. My best 2 pheno's of MANY, but still.

if theres one or 2 seeds in a LB and he gets told to get the fuck out, then the dumbass is goin broke while u still have a LB of some dank. thatd be dumb as shit becuz i bet da next one that some1 brings him is seedier than a motherfucker and gets called "kush" and he buys it because he's desperate as fuck to reup..

Yep, dead on. I had some Super Silver Haze bagseeds in my last grow. About 4 weeks into flower the fan leaves and some buds started to turn purple on me. That was some of the most earthy smelling/tasting stuff I have ever had the pleasure of smoking. I dont know what it crossed with, better bet I am waiting to grow out the other seeds from that sack. I hope I find that pheno again.

Heh its cool smoke one and chill :) Well i'm from NorCal and, like I said man, our seeded weed must be goin somewhere else because no clubs or dealers would ever buy a pound regardless of how good it is if they see seeds in it. I don't doubt that you have come accross the *very random* bagseed in an ounce of some super chronic weed. My point was that a buyer at any collective or club would never ever buy a pound (or a half or a qp for that matter) if he saw even a single seed in the bag. One or two seeds visible at the bottom of a pound means probably dozens throughout the whole thing. To me, 10 seeds in a quarter of weed is way unacceptable. Thats over 600 seeds in an elbow, which in ANYONES book should automatically disqualify it from being considered "top notch" or even "high quality mids", no matter how good it looks or smells. And you must know some greasy ass dealers if they so "desperate to reup" that they would buy weight with seeds visible in the bag. Also, I was commenting on the impossibly numerous RIU users growing from bagseed. Some get lucky and get some really good genes and thats awesome. Its just amazing to me that there are these large quantities of seeded weed out there. I guess I don't know much about other markets around the country (or around the state of California for that matter), but im from NorCal and ya best believe what I said is 100% valid here :) So chill out and smoke some of your seeded weed. This is my shwag plant, found the seeds in a brick..... lol, just grew it out to see what would happen! No where near as pretty as my strawberry cough, or lacy, but hell now I know!

Still gets me high and is about 50X better than what I got the seed from!

Now when you are talking 10 seeds in a quarter, hell yeah then I'm with ya. But one or two seeds across a pound?! That was my point. Wasn't trying to be a dick man, just pointing out the over exaggeration in your first post. Now if you are talking about finding a few seeds at the bottom of an untouched pound..then yeah I could see being pretty iffy on actually buying. You are right in that aspect, if you can see a few already you KNOW there are a good handful more.

I was just shocked at the statement of how a couple seeds makes a pound worthless. That's mind boggling to me. I was thinking more along the lines of finding a few seeds through out the pound though... not the way you meant it. Mis-communication on the net...go figure. Anyway, take it easy man.. see ya around the forum I'm sure.

ALL ELITE GENETICS ARE STABILIZED PHENOS AND BACKCROSSES OF (insert drumroll here) BAGSEEDS! all of them! every single one! from WW to TW to Deisel to cheese to hashplant and everything you have ever heard of, is 99.99999999% identical genetically to the shitiest bagseed at the bottom of a pound of shake!
they all came from landraces..... all of them. no exceptions.
the difference is how there grown, lol...
take any bagseed
take any elite seed
plant the elite seed somewhere safe, outdoors, and walk away
germ the bagseed as you normally would, and grow that fucker indoors like it was the LAST mj plant known to man... baby that fucker, and baby it good. harvest time, you will be proud and worthy of praise from all your smoke buddies when they see what you did with a bagseed.
come harvest time, you will be in for a rude awakening when you show back up in the field to collect your elite crop.

im growing bagseed outdoors in some foxfarm soil, and I am impressed, im a beginner no doubt but I killed a male already and i have two females so far. and 2 more that are undetectable until next week, hopefully more fems.

Bagseed is fine in my eyes... im a noob but these plants i got are my pride and joy... and they are doing wonderful I have no idea why its budding at one month old tho... im happy it is budding early tho i want some herb smoke :D

I'm doin a bagseed grow as well outdoors. I picked the current seeds from a bad of middies that were borderline dank and were FAT and healthy. They've been outside a month now and are about 12-13 in tall. when should I be able to tell the sex? im around 32deg.N

I agree with IAm. These plants all came from the same place and the commercial growers don't plant shitty weed seeds. The problem is that they dont take care of them and the quality goes to the wayside.

There should be no seeds in primo weed, period. That's the reason its called sensimilla, from spanish "sin semilla" which means "without seeds". For those who haven't grown or done any research, a female must be pollinated by a male to produce seeds. I don't know any experienced growers, including myself, who allow males to exist around the females, unless growing a crop for the express purpose of producing seed for future crops. And those are far, far removed from the primary female grow as the male pollen can travel long distances on the wind.

When pollinated females devote all resources to producing seed, not THC, to perpetuate the species so if anyone is smoking weed with seeds in it, it's either imported weed (50% of the weed consumed in the US) or from a domestic grower who doesn't know what the fuck he or she is doing. Sex can be identified at 4-8 weeks when the nodes begin alternating. If missed at that stage, when they go into flower there can be no doubt in anyone's mind who knows anything about growing weed about which plant is male and which is female.
