All Waters are not created equal - Help me pick one.

Testing the waters here.. Really!

I bought several brands of water from my local store to test. Tap water was 450 PPM so that's out. Here are my contenders and what happens to the PH when I add the General Organics Go line nutes. Using organic soil medium Fox Farms Happy Frog.


Distilled water PH 6.0 plain, 0 PPM... Add GO Nutes............... PH 5.2.. needs PH up

Spring water PH 7.0 plain, 175 PPM... Add GO Nutes............. PH 6.0.. great !

Keeping within my mantra " less is best" I am leaning towards the Spring water because the PH is perfect after adding Nutes, or should I use the Distilled 0 PPM water and adjust PH up ? Does it really make a difference ? Also I know I need to add Cal/Mg if using distilled and that was added for my tests.

ya sounds like spring waters the way to go. less "additives" have to be added and the PH is right so why not. i just watered with some spring water moments ago
