Allergies During Harvest

Does anyone else get really bad allergies while trimming & harvesting?

While I'm trimming I will go into sneezing fits that last several minutes and my nose and eyes are reacting like I'm allergic to something. This will last for 1-2 days sometimes and it's becoming worse over the last couple years.

I wear gloves while trimming and do not touch my face at all but it happens every time. I'm wondering if this is an issue with the bud or if it's a common problem that others experience.

It's really annoying and causing delays, if anyone has any suggestions for remedy that would be greatly appreciated.

Very typical, actually. A lot of people wear "sleeve armor" and a mask or respirator while working on plants, and trimming. Just a hunch; do you sunburn easily?

It's a trip, you can be a smoker for like 100 yrs, but until you get around a bunch of fresh ripe plants, you don't realize how actually "toxic" these plants are!!

Hey guys, Im now on week 4 of flower for my super silver haze x northern lights, and only recently since the past two weeks have I had this nasty rash. I used to get it on my arms when I would train, but it would be just small bumps. I didn’t mind it at all. Now they are spreading everywhere...

Yes I do.

leading up to harvest day I have to take antihistamines for around 3 days prior to harvest and a couple of days post harvest.

i wear gloves etc while harvesting.

Yes I do get sunburned very easily lol.

Sometimes in the summer I will open up the windows to let in some fresh air but in the winter it fills up the whole house and there is nothing I can do.

There are no seeds in the bud but I'm wondering if it's some kind of pollen the plant is producing. Lately I've been growing more sativa dominant and idk if that has anything to do with it.

@jondamon I have some antihistamines here, I will give that a try thanks.

No worries.

works great for me. Not 100% effective but enough to get through the harvesting lol.
