Alll hell breaking lose-- am I doing the right thing? HELP

Have a few things going on that may be related. Did a rez change on Friday on my widows and Carmelicious in hydro. Runnng nutes now at about 900 ppm. pH target has been 5.8. A couple of days later, pH spiked to almost 8 overnight and a white slime grw on top of net pots and on roots- figure its root rot, but rez was clean at that point so I doesed with hooh and it was good for a few days. LAst night, I went to check on the girls and my two big widows had wilted, the rez was smelling and full of slime and a few of my girls are showing the mottling of pH problems. I iommediately dumped reez and clenaed it out with bleach, along with fogger float, pump filter, etc. refilled with frsh water, low lvel nutes ( 500ppm) and adjusted to 5.8. I was out of HOOH at midnight so I put in capful of bleach to getthrough the nite. This am, the roots are still slimy, pH was almost at 7 again, and rez had floating slime. Was out of Spring water and DI this am, so I hit rez with a large bottle of HOOH and pulled each plant and dipped it to the stem in a soln of 25% HOOH (35), water 60% and 15% Isopropyl alcohol. Soln was foaming like mad, squeezed each root ball out of soln and put back in rez.

The carms look pretty good except for the mottling and the two smaller widows are weakend but look ok so far. My two big girls are a wilted mess before I did this- any hoepe for them?

Planning on another rez change tonight with more HOOH. Roots def look white now and smell is gone. White gel slime seems to be breaking up.

Anything else I should do besides pray? These grlks are 8 weeks old and I was just about to flip to flower... obviously will need to veg some more but what lse shoudl I do- did order hydrozyme but wont be here for a few days

You should be ok, but you need to nail down the source(s) of this bacteria. that's what's causing all these problems. are you using organic nutes or something?

Well found a few things- # 1 was my airstone clogged up so tank went anerobic from what I can see.. The big widows were furthest from the air leaking so they were def nor O2 rich on that side of rez...No organics but I did use a citric acid/ascorbic acid/Si02 for buffering ( anti-oxidant powder for fruit)- may have scavenged O2 as well. thought silicon supplement would help toughen up stems- Also had a clone go bad first- that def had rot and was near the big ones- perfect storm of a mess. The dead roots just started fermenting and turned this into a huge mess as pH rocketed up as well, so all had that tell tale pH mottling. Disolved solids were over 1400ppm with all the decay.

Peroxide seems to have gotten the goo under control- just hope the widows pop back- they were huge and bushy and now look like wilted salad. Nothing mushy or rotting yet- hope they rehydrate. I did get some clones just before this happened so at least I have that... If they start to pop back, will change rez again - have fresh water standing by.

Good news is the small widows and the two carms, altjhough beat up looking seem to be doing ok so far...

Also turned off blackstar to keep temp down in cab until they recover...plenty of light from the two UFOs.

Should I repeat the dunk in HOOH soln?

Hygrozyme on way as well...

Well have changed rez out twice now and have eliminated slime- alos wailed on the widows. Doing a reveg now- pretty mush just stems and few small leaves left. Carms did better but they were near air line. They got hit by pH swings but are in much better shape. Planning on giving them two weeks of TLC ans see what happens. I do have clones that will be ready to go if they don't rebud out. What a pain in the ass. My widows were beatiful and now they are sticks... arggghhhh.

sold,i begin imediatly, many questions chub, size of pump?could this simply be incorperated into my ebb and gro system?would 390 pump sustain airation for 12 sites?

Hey Spawn did you order back up of Hygrozyme, or just the one bottle? i hear its the bomb! i got myself a litre

i got a bottle to start and see if it helps. damn airstone was the problem originally. Just came today along with cal mag and another enzyme I can't remember that helps :compost" hydro rez systems. Changed tank out again, redunked roots and pots in hooh soln, and set nutes at only 400. pH is bouncing between 5.8 and 6.4 in between adjustments. One carm is coming back strong with tons of side growth. The other one is starting to come around. My luck after all this will be herms....The two topped widows are slowly coming back and I see some small veg on what was my two widows that are now stumps. I have clones of both big widows rooted as well as the carms. I am seriously considering throwing them in the mix if mommas dont come around fast enough and take more clones. I also just got more varieties of seed so I may just flip the carms to flower soon and cut my losses and get next grow started in clone/seedling chamber. This has def been a learning experience as well as a cash cow for poland springs at local market...;-)

Well it is not atotal disaster but close. The multiple rez changes, addition of hygrozyme and low levels of HOOH and new airstone, and switch to 24 hrs under the ufos has things rrecovering from almost a total loss. Luckily I had gotten some good clones beforethings went south as well from the best plants. New root growth is happening on all the beat up plabtts, and I put three clones - two carms, one widow into the grow should the stumps formerly known as thriving plants not reveg. The two carms are doing OK, with one doing pretty good actually. The widoiws all look like crap with small new growth popping iup now as roots grow. Will give them as long as needed as clones grow and then go to 12/12. Turned out not to be traditional root rot, but a anerobic bateria that was the cause of the white jelly slime, which chokedthe roots...and drove pH up making things worse. Well live and learn. New beans ready to go into pots as soon as things are flowering or beyong any hope... Any pictures would only bring tears....

No problem- only upside is I got god clones going before all hell broke loose. Cutting m,y losses and starting over withthemand some new germed beans I started just in case... Added a Vanilla Kush, Iced Grapefruit, A Blueberry , some NYCD and a few freebies to fill out string. Diesel and freebies are reg seeds-others are fems. Clones are girls too. Willwatch this one closer. Waste of two months but at least a learning exp. Only one carm came back really and it looks like crap.
