Hi i am growing 4 Auto Anubis plants and they are looking good... a few ounces on each plant and they even smelled lovely a few days ago.

All until i had to shut the grow op down for 24 hours as i had some visitors. So the plants had no light or anything for 24 hours. The op is back up and running but the smell of the buds have gone! just gone! no smell! and the hairs are starting to go orange! how can i fix this huge problem?

And will auto's be affected by no light for 24 hours? and how badly?

This is not that much of a problem. The pistils turning orange is an indicator that the plants are near harvest. The plant was probably induced in what's refereed to as "harvest state" which just induces the plant to begin to "shutdown" in a sense.

When cured properly, the chemicals will excrete and it will smell nice again.

I don't really have time to cure it.... is curing really that much of a big process? or just more of the perfectionists approach?

Will my buds still be full of thc? and get me stoned?

If you don't know what curing is, you shouldn't be growing in the first place. I'm surprised you managed to make it this far.

Anywho.

Curing will convert all inactive THC (other cannabonoids) into a readily available THC form. Curing for as little as 1 week or 2 weeks will increase THC considerably. Please google how to do this. You will notice better taste, more THC and the buds will become more oily and have a "high quality" finish.

Curing is a standard procedure when growing Cannabis. It is as important, if not more important than growing the actual Cannabis itself.

I have done this before with smaller harvests... Often times impatience takes over and you snip a few buds and dry them in the over @200 for 10 minutes or until a little dry. So yes you can do it. And it will get you high!

Actually i wish i had had the link for you on curing. It's actually here in the forums! It's a good read, all you need is a dark area with ventilation and low humidity and then a couple mason jars that you open and close once a day. Curing process it's about 2-3 weeks.

will it FULL of THC? Nahhh.

also when anticipating harvest status: when 75% of the trichomes turn from cloudy to amber.
by the way: the 3-4 trichome colors are: clear, cloudy, then Amber, then brown....then plant death.

If your not gonna cure your herb you might as well just trash your buds now. You really should have read more about curing before growing.

i do know what curing is and how to do it... i just wanted to know if it was worth the effort. A lot of people i know just grow it, dry it and then sell it without curing.

Either way back to the original question... does smell matter? if it has no smell is it shit!?

That's what dealers do and that's why they do not have satisfied customers. You want people coming back to you? Cure your stuff for 1-2 weeks and you'll have them throwing their money at you in herds.

Generally, smell is not an indicator of Marijuana quality or THC content. In a case such as yours, because, i am assuming it is being used to sell. Customers like there product smelling nice, so generally yes, it not selling will make customers think it is of lowers quality and these customers will not come back. This is the reason why you need to cure to make the plant smell again.

it wont mold if you dry your bud. let it dry till it is crispy and the stems snap and then you can start putting it in jars. it will take 6-7 days to dry it before jars and you will lose about 75-80% of the size of the bud while it dries so if it weighs 2 ounces wet you will end up with like a half ounce

The hairs turning orange could be from a difference in temp. Get yourself a small microscope and look at what's called trichs. Should be partly cloudy for a head high. And a slit hint of amber for a body high. Also to cure hand for a couple days until the fruit is a little crispy. Then head over to your local grocery store and get paper bags. No need for jars.!! Good luck :)

...So no, it's not a must.
Why not cure what you don't smoke right away, and see the difference for yourself?
You don't need to believe every MUST here... most of the people just heard a thing from somebody else that only heard it from someone too, and call themselves experience embodied.
