That diagram is utterly confusing. The "Ready to Harvest" image has less amber trichomes than the "Late Flowering Stage" one does, and less cloudy than "Early Stage".
That's what I thought I figured atleast 1 or 2 weeks more as it is on day 50 of flower.
Never go by number of days or weeks. The plants do not go by a calendar schedule. 50 days is only a shade over 7 weeks.
That's why I thought it was weird for them to say they looked close. Cause even if you go by days it's still early I figured it be between the 3rd to the 18th of August for harvest
Your buddy is clearly not experienced to tell you anything about growing cannabis. That, or he just saw an opportunity for free weed. Either way, don't take grow advice from them.
He has grown. Now if he did all the growing is the question I don't have the answer to.

I know people who've grown decades and still don't know what ready looks like. They never will either because they wont have it they are chopping weeks early. Stuck in their ways because some dude taught them the 8 weeks veg 8 weeks flower rule 20 years ago which is bloody stupid anyway.
I don't see those plants been ready in less than 3 weeks but you never know until they are all swollen like a nuns chuff on Easter

You still have at least two weeks, probably four. Get yourself a jeweler's loupe. Your harvest time is ultimately the biggest factor in your end result. Assuming you can't alter your equipment or genetics in the short run.
Yeah I have a jewelers loupe but its lost so I have to buy a new one probably

Your buddy talks shit and needs some new jam jar bottoms.
You're looking more like latter part of August when you start to see her throwing her spent leaves, then you will see a real difference in the buds and need your loupe.
You should not be smoking her before September I'd say at they earliest.
She has a lot of fattening up to do.
BTW, give your mate fuck all of that good smoke you'll have come sometime in September.
