Am I ready getting close to my 1st Harvest Festiville?

1st timer here. Growing a "Gorilla Glue" plant...wonder if I'm getting close to harvest time.
Do I wait for all the little hairs to go orange? Any guesses how many weeks away?
Already tried the "male" cast offs with buddys...some of the best I've ever had. Stoked.
Thanks for the feedback, guys...

I think the goal is having mostly amber trichs, not pistols (hairs), in which case you still have a lot of clear showing. I'm new too so I'm interested to hear what other more experienced folks have to say. I thought I saw an "is it ready" sticky somewhere but I'm not seeing it in the newbie, general, or indoor threads.

It looks good and healthy but it also looks like it needs a lot more time. 3-4 weeks at least, maybe longer.

From the looks of it, you've got another three weeks at least. Hopefully, those are tiny buds right now.

But besides that, that's outside, and I wouldn't expect it to be ready until at least early October.

Most say to harvest before trichomes are all amber. Color of the stigmas isn't a good indicator, and stigmas don't contain THC anyway.

I harvest once they plump, and when trichomes are about 80% cloudy on the buds (not the leaves.)

But when it IS done, it looks like you'll have some excellent buds. If you haven't already, make sure you've prepared for post harvest, it's nearly as important as this last stretch.

You have a few weeks at least to further flowering .
Pistils will turn color or they may stay with white " hairs " depending on strain.
Triches are the key to judge " maturity " .... Check calyx areas ( triches at bud ) not necessarily the leaves , but looking over maturing flowers can let you know when to chop.

Light to medium cloudiness - racing kind of high ( not full potential )
Medium to full cloudy ( maybe a few amber triches ) - chop time
More amber triches - couch lock / narcotic ( THC is now degrading )

Dude if the males got you and your buddies high just wait 4 weeks and get ready for a coma lol
Seriously...that's what we've been laughing about. The male stuff was just awesome...everyone keeps telling me it's amazing. I keep saying I'm a little scared to try the reall buds when they're ready. :)

Thanks everyone for the advise!

Each grower is different when it comes to harvest,
I have 3 signs when to harvest
1: all the hairs have curled, doesn't matter about the colour... That's strain dependant

2: 50 % amber trichomes or more....but that's grower dependant... Some like more,or less

3: gut feeling

Good luck mate

if you dont intend on buying a scope of any sort;

wait until almost all the hairs have turned orange or red or magenta or whatever color they are AND then let them recede into the calyx. then you can be sure you are missing on much resin production after this point

There is red hair all over it. I should and will put a few more pics of plant. She is a really nice looking plant. Its a chocolate skunk. Info on plant says 56 days of flowering. I know that doesn't mean squat. But I thought trichomes were more milky then clear...this phase is a little frustrating... I gotta get a jewlers loupe!
