Am I wasting my time?

Here's my configuration:

Plants in a 1" x 2" bin in a closet.

Three 19w Daylight CFLs (1100 lumens each), plus one 22w soft white CFL trained 5 inches away from plant one.

- plus -

Three 19w Daylight CFLs (1100 lumens each), plus one 22w soft white CFL trained 5 inches on plant two.

Is that too weak? Am I wasting my time with all those 19watters? (No store seems to have the daylight 22s.)

I'm calculating that I have about 4500 lumens trained on each plant, but they don't seem to be growing anywhere near as fast as I think they should be (based on the pics that I'm seeing online).

My oldest plant is almost 2 weeks old and just sprouting it's 2nd set of real leaves. It's still practically a seedling at almost 2 weeks. :-(

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

Now they're in Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil. I just transplanted them yesterday from leftover generic potting soil (recycled from a dead house plant). Haven't fed any nutes yet, since I'm using Ocean Forest, plus they're still so small and fragile-looking. Don't want to "burn" them with ferts.

The temp, I have no idea. It's pretty cool here in my place, but I think the closet might be warmer because of all the lights. I'll upload photos in a sec.

My best plant. Leaf-end to leaf-end is about the size of a quarter.

My oldest plant. Same tiny size as the first.

it might be enough light for the seedling stage but your going to need more power for the flower stage. for that many plants anyway

That is one small grow area, fuckin matchbox. Get a hps for flowering for under $100, will make all the difference.

I'll probably get soft white 22watt cfls by the flower stage. I'm hoping that 8 of them will do the trick. I want to stick with CFLs to keep the heat down. My grow space is tiny, but I'm only growing for my own stash. If I can keep myself in weekend weed, I'm cool.

yeah looks to be overwater marijuana can grow in close to no water at all. but you want to let the soil dry out before you water it again

So if you want to stay CFLs go with a t5 unit and a lil 2x2x4 tent. That should cost about 200 online. Get rid of those ghetto ass lights man. Your not going to be able to grow anything in that lil set up.
