amber trichome question.

hi all, I got three autoflowering Buddha seeds, White Dwarfs ( http://www.cannabis-seeds-bank.co.uk/buddha-seeds-white-dwarf-feminized-4367-p.asp ) they are 89days old. Flushed twice so far.
i use the illuminated Microscope from radio shack, i would say 90% of my trichomes are cloudy. My question is, while i am focusing on the buds. it seems like all the buds have a tint of amber then when i get completely focused in they're all either cloudy and very few clear. also can a new grower,, first time looking at trichomes mistake a trichome that just turned amber for a clear one?

You have to center the trichomes or else they can look amber in the radioshack microscope. Most commonly happens around a HPS or while you're in or near your grow room. It can make the trichomes on the outer ring of the microscope look amber but when you center it, it's clear or cloudy. If they are cloudy or clear in the center then, they're cloudy or clear not amber. If they are amber in the center then they are amber.

Always center your trichomes in that microscope, hope this helps .

Thanks man yea it helps. friggen microscope is such a pain to mess with, almost have to hold my breath while i take a look.. slightest movement or whatever screws you up. 89days on these things and still trichomes are cloudy , don't think i really spotted a full amber trichome yet and they say from seed to harvest in 60days on dwarfs=/ i started out with 4plants but harvested one about two weeks ago ( bad move on my part ), cured it for a week and started blazein on it. i was pretty desperate for some smoke and i paid dearly for it=/. not the high i was looking for but did the job.

Yeah it can be a pain in the ass, I hear ya lol. When you spot an amber Trichome you'll know for sure. As far as the harvest us concerned, most plants take longer than advertised and some don't, so yeah the wait is totally worth it.

If you have a really good digital camera with a macro setting you might be able to get a couple trichome shots on that.

Glad the info helped out, and good luck on your harvest and the rest of your grow :eyesmoke:.
