What is the best area (size) of squares to have in your scrog for the highest yield? as i've seen larger squares and very small squares in lots of different posts on scrogging, if anybody could help that would be great as i'm thinking of trying it on my next grow.
The squares I have are 3 inch by 3 inch and seem to be doing pretty good. It gives my ladies plenty of room to grow through.

Grew this Amnesia Haze from Soma Sacred seeds earlier this year.

Vegged for 60 days, Topped thrice for 8 main colas ( I don't think my particular pheno took too well to the topping) and it stretched about 3 x its size when switchiing to flowering.

Not a big yielder, but decent yields.. a very sativa haze premium quality flower if grown right..

I seem to be having a bit of a problem. I planted my amnesia haze into some solo cups to start in and they have been there for 7 days now and they are already 5 inches tall and are still working on its first set of leaves. The lights are about 18 inches away from the top of the plants. Is there anything I can do to stop that much stretching from happening because I don't want the plants stem to be damaged.

Can someone please help me. I don't know what is going on with my seedlings. I have 4 of them sitting under a 300w meizhi led and a 600w meizhi led grow light that is hanging about 30 inches away from the top of the foliage. I am definitely not over watering or under watering to my recollection. I will add some pics. Someone please help me out with this. I am afraid that 1 of them is gonna die. 2 of them are yellowing a bit and 1 of them is almost completely yellow and I have no clue why. I check the ph in my water ever time I feed them. It's always 6.5 or 6.6.

IMG_2053_2009.jpg Amnesia is an awesome strain. If you time it right outdoors it makes a 3' tall christmas tree of which 2 is solid, fat cola.
I have no experience with it indoors. though.

Stop there, go buy 3 23W spiral CFL bulbs and sockets and make a little light system for your seedlings. They need to hang about an 1 or so above the seedlings. Also get a tiny desk fan and make it oscillate softly over the plants for your next seedlings.

Some things that will give you issues....
1 Start in small bag or pot and plant up to larger pots as the canopy gets to be about as wide as the pot. That large grow bag makes it hard for the roots of a tiny plant to get oxygen compared to a small bag.

2 your medium seems to be getting too dry on top. The root system is about as wide as the top of the plant, water small amounts in a ring about as wide as that circle.

3 your medium contains too much wood

If you are patient enough and get the watering right (you can always plant in back into a smaller plant now), they will come right.
You would see similar things with seeds planted outdoors in large pots or in the ground. With our pots and bags and timing, we can grow superior roots to those plants though.
