an accidental clone

So the other day, I needed to trim some old fan leaves, and undergrowth that was only hindering the plants potential. So while trimming, with brand new scissors, I accidentally cut off a small growth shoot. The shoot was not big at all, and now is growing 3 nice big shoots where there was once only one. With the small clipping, i recently ran out of root juice, so I said fuck it, in a last ditch effort to preserve that small accidental clipping, did everything but put root juice, as I was out. I placed it into prewetted soil (used my foliage feed spray on it for a few days) and now, to my surprise, it is rooted, and growing!!! It is growing pretty damned well for 5 days after the oops. If this plant grows nice and big and healthy, I may just make a mother out of it, because let me say when I though that the accidental clipping was a goner, I really thought it was done for. This was a last ditch attempt to salvage an oops... and now I have a rapidly growing/developing clone. The plant it came off of, was a clone from a purp kush mom, a good hearty genotype as well. It grows nice and fast, flowers quickly, is very easy to clone... perhaps too easy from the looks of it lol.

Anyone else ever have something like this happen, and what started as a FML moment turn into something great? I mean, this strain grow very fast, is very easy to grow well, as it is not as sensitive as others are to light or nute stress. But this clone... its growth rate is far exceeding that of the clones now in flower.

Granted I am concerned a bit about the plants stability, as there is only about 1/4 an inch in the dirt. I am hoping it roots down good and strong, and requires minimal support. But hey if worse comes to worst, I could just let it grow up a bit, then strip the main stock down as it continues to grow until more of it gets buried in my soil mix, and all the shucked spots treated with rooting compound. Anyone know if this won't work at all? I would like to save my accidental clone... he is like my little purple the kush that could....
