AN Barricade & pH

I grow under 400w HID, 25 gallon res, ebb & flow, AN nutes.
My last grow I used micro-grow-bloom with bud blood, big bud, carbo load, sweet leaf, voodoo juice, piranha, tarantula, sensizym, and overdrive. I use RO water. I would add my nutes to my res, and add 7.5 ml of AN pH down, and I would hit a pH of 5.6 and would stay at that or maybe rise to 5.7 over the course of a week.
This grow, I am using the same nutes, same res, same water, with AN Barricade (potassium silicate) and Mother Earth Tea (organic poo juice) added to the nute soup. I realize that Barricade is a pH up, so I added 10ml of pH down to hit my number, and when I checked it...bam 5.6. After an hour 6.3. This AM, 6.7. I do not like to keep adding pH chemicals, but I added 4ml of pH down today and hit 5.6 again. After an hour, 5.8. Tested with 2 meters and a strip.
I have never had RO water buffer acid like this. Is the barricade the cause, I wonder. I only added 3/4 tsp to 25 gallons. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i had similar problems when using ro water. For me RO was less stable and more susceptable to fluctuation. To decrease the range of ph fluctuation I would use 70% RO and 30% tap water. it seemed to slow the number of ph adjustments required. I use AN too.

I don't like using tap, but i didn't like adding down daily because its poison.
anything that burns my skin can't be good.

gee you sure like to spend money,try using less additives,have grown for years and really dont know why so many growers get caught up in the additive craze.for a grow try the following(you will bless me)get some sensi grow 2 part for veg,then use Coineseur 2 part for flower.in the 3rd to flush week use bud builder as the only additive.try it then im sure you will throw all those others away, feed schedules made by companies are there to sell more products not increase yields genetics only allows a plant to do so much!!! oh by the way.................... here is the best nute levels to grow at with these products

started clones(5th leaf)-8 inch high ppm 700
8-13 inches ppm 1000
13inches and up ppm 1200
these are using the .7 scale on a nutrient meter

using these values and ro water little or no buffering is need if your ro water tests 10 or less!!!!

I will try the 70/30 mix...I do have a total breakdown of a water sample from my faucet, so I can now see what the ppm's in my water are......as for using additives, I like them...I feel like I have seen gains with each one I have added, and my scales definitely say so.....it could be just getting the best from the genetics, and not the additives at all......but the cost is nominal......and alot cheaper than buying bud, especially the quality of which I grow, on the streets....I dunno, probably will stay with using the additives...they are fun for me, whether they work or not...LOL......thanks, though.....I appreciate the looking out, but I will stay a mindless slave to corporate marketing....LMAO
