AN Quick cure drying rack capacity

you should not put large buds in there, they should be hung, but you put the small buds and shake on that, and each section can hold 1-3 ounces depending on how spread out you want the buds. But I wouldn't put more than 3 ounces on one try.

Each level holds about 3 pounds. You want the buds pretty tight on the rack to slow dry your buds. I like to spread them out for a few hours then put them in a pile for a few hours, then spread back out. And repeat this process until there ready for jars.

Do you guys get really good cures out of these things?

And
do you leave them loose or bunch them together. Couple people up there contradicted each other

Mine is big enough to spread everything out, I haven't noticed any differentiation in drying from hanging. Cant see hanging or in the rack can being any different ....there is nothing physical or mechanical that has changed except orientation. If you really think about it since evaporation of any moisture will tend to gravitate upwards laying the buds on there side in a rack would equal in a more even drying process.

The entire internet is a contraindication, everyone's an expert on the internet didnt you know. :) I am just trying to use logic.

the biggest diff between hanging and using teh rack is u can get a whole room of hanging plants into 1 rack that fits in teh corner

major space saver

and u can check ur buds easier cuz their right there not all over teh room

theres more 2 it than that of corse but u get the idea
i saw it on videos on youtube and got 1
glad i did

So you guys put all the buds in there, not just the small ones like that above poster said? I picked one up for $20 can't wait to use it!!

I use something like this but its a lot smaller and had 5 levels(used for storage), i am pretty sure you can pick them up at IKEA for $5. Each circle was about 12inches and i used the bottom screen to hold my popcorn buds while poking the stem through the top of the mesh or the sides to hang my bigger buds. I love it and i have seen these monsters at the hydro store but i dont harvest pounds at a time so the 3 or 4 little ones i have work great. I harvested 6 ladies all within a few days of eachother but all different strains and my little 5 level worked great because i could keep all my strains in their own levels. You could also make this yourself really easy with wood frame mesh screen for mosquitoes (something like it).

Bringing back a not too old thread.. But yeah, Definitely a space saver, I don't really have somewhere to hang strings, since I'm doing a perpetual MMJ grow, and this works perfect for it. I have one of the larger ones (35") , and each layer can easily hold 5-6 ounces with buds somewhat spread out, more if you have them not spread. Mine has 3 connections, totaling 6 layers (2 on each, betting you can buy more if you really wanted, but the 6 layers is about 2 1/2 feet from the floor, from a hook in an 8' ceiling.

Instead of having chances of buds falling off of the strings (used to have this problem, sucks when you have pets too, because dog hair gets EVERYWHERE, so the buds can easily get hair with the strings, this rack prevents that.

Definitely nice to keep it in a corner of my room, be able to easily check all the buds. Haven't had any issues with mold/mildew, and one thing I've actually noticed, is that the buds do dry quicker than normal (hence the name i'm guessing). Usually takes about 5-6 days to get it to the right point to jar for actual curing, whereas on string it was taking 10 days or longer to be dry enough for that.

One thing is, keep some Poly Plastic, or some tarp underneath it. If you trim before, some of the tiny trimmings will still stick to the buds I've noticed, and can fall off during drying, along with some Keif falling off too. Not too much though.
