Well heres a pic now day 6 into the grow lol The 16th was a blueberry 1 I gave away to a friend as I decided I wanted to put a clone form my aero strain I grow in there .Hes' rooting and getting special attention so he can cathc up but will go in soon. I laid all the stuff out for the drip lines but gotta stick them in and set the timer up.These all came from 45 day old moms so they are mature think Ill go about 10 inchs then go flower. I forgot how slow dirt is I may go 12/12 at 8 inches.I only want to veg about 2 weeks 3 is gonna kill me since Im used to 10 days of veg in aer for 18 inch plants.But it might just have to be what it is.Anyways hers a little update.Most are doing great got a few BB runts but all the sweet purpls are fatties and seem to be speeding up.I might even do some photoshop and label each pot with it so people can see what pot is what plant.I have 1 BBmother I kept and then had 2 nice Sweet purple mom so took 4 from each of those and will decide which moms genes I like best then flower the other mom and have my way with her..Anyways heres the new pics will see about movong this to grow journels......

As you will se I am bored and have time so its been 2 days and I lowered the light down pretty close gonna jump start these slow little soil growers.Day 8 of the project hopefully a week more and Ill be ready for 12/12.Maybe dirt is so slow lol

Ok day day since going into the soil. I have my little leaf curl issue which I am thinking I will blame on over zealous watering by myself.Im not familiar with BB as this is my first time growing it but all the bb look suspect as most have 3 leaves except the lower leaves that have 5 points.Makes me wonder if thats gonna be an issue. I sexed some momms quickly and hope I didnt miss anything with a BB mom as I had 2 but sexed only one and used it for the clones so hope I wasnt high and took them from the unsexed mom. The sweet purple all look like thier 2 moms short fat and full with 7 leaf gentics.Im guessing maybe 7-10 more days then I will toss these into 12/12 as long as they hit the rough 10 inch tall I want as I want some 2 footers when done maybe more if I feel like it.Oh and dont worry about pot 16 he is undercontrol and will be in the family photos soon.Anyways more of the newest pics....

filthy im back ! and i got everything set up .. pics are comin soon and so will my grow journal .. help me out you been a big help so far. i think im finally ready maybe ... yours is lookin nice ... im doin soil as well , but also 1 hydroponically... i still have a few questions ... my shit will be up soon look out for me...

Nope non of these are topped.The BB are the 3 leaved taller plants that look athinner

That BB looks healthy, big fan of the strain...flowering some BB
clones right now myself. Just thought I would join in and get a
comparison between BB hydro and BB soil...should be interesting...

So Johnny your familiar with the BB grows.Is the 3 leaf starts and taller lanky growth normal for BB? This BB F1 was my freeby seed pack from Paradise seeds when I ordered my Sweet purple the promo of the month was free BB with every order.The mom I took these from doesnt look like these do though she was shorter and fatter with thicker growth and 5 leaves but the other BB I had started I think was a male had the 3 leaves and tall lanky look but I never took clones fromthat one just put that one aside and its still going like a wirey stinky boy under some floros.
Wel I was originally thinking of topping and lollipoping all these but not sure I may do the 3 tall thin BB and see if I can get them to fatten out.

It's sad to me that BB was the free strain...It's a good buy IMO...
They do grow slow, but I am now flowering my 3rd gen. clones and
are more resinated than ever before...very chrystalized and potent.

Somewhat stunted, for some reason, but will be some of the stongest
I have harvested yet...

Well day 12 in the soil and gonna go maybe 1 more week then go 12/12 on these. the B has grown its 5 and 7 point leaves now but still has ugly leaves but all are filling in nicely now and the sweet purple look real good if it turns out as I think it will I have plans for this strain.Heres just a few pics for shits and grins..

fletch would you concider growing in soil with cfl,s next time.

Well I know me and soil dont really see each other to much but hey why not for old times sake. Now cfls and fletch is like pure enemies although I have to be honest I have some backup BB mommies in 1 of my aero tubs with a 65 watt cfl bulb on them to keep them alive lol I dont think I could do a soil grow with cfl as it would take way too many to cover enough plants to make it worth while but I am going to do a T5 grow sometime soon and will post that as a journel

Well heres the update on the little side grow here. Its day 15 since they got planted in the pots and they will be going 12/12 tonight since they are all 12-14 inches tall and full.They were gonna get tomato cages but I had to leave town for 3 days and got back and too late so they will get dowel rods as needed for support. All look real good except 1 which is very yellow leaved entire plant which is weird since they all have sam moms,high nitrogen soil and same water supply. Will have to tinker with her I guess. Anyways here are some pics at day 15 day of the 12/12 start coming up...

theres one advantage soil over aeroponicks,you can go away for three days and not worry,but maybe you can do that with aero,if any one would know it would be you.but they look really healthy and not stretched,i put mine into flower at 11 or 12 inches,they maxed out at 23 inches max,i think that is the perfect height for light penetration and yield,but i may be wrong.

In aero grows you can leave for long times as long as you have big enough res.I could leave my bigger aero setup for a week or so if I wanted to but Id have to do a little work so it would self adjust the ph levels if I was to keep it perfect.I have in therory worked out a ph auto adjuster but havent tested it yet. Involves 2 auto fish feeders and a ph auto probe with a solenoid.Depending on the ph the auto feeders will kick on either to up or down depending on which level I set the it up
