[h=1]Motorcycle rider dies after hitting moose[/h]Michael Carlyle was headed north on Fairview Loop, near Knik Goose Bay Road, when his motorcycle hit the moose about 1 p.m. Tuesday, troopers said.
The collision threw Carlyle, 36, several hundred feet, and he died a short time later at the scene, troopers said. Carlyle was wearing a helmet, they said.
Troopers closed the road for a time to investigate.
The moose was also killed.

Or anything else when you pile into a 1500 lb moose @ 55 mph.

I ride and hate hearing this. He killed the moose? Damn. They are big. Biggest fear I have is deer, hitting a moose would be like hitting a wall.

In Illinois you would see cars that hit deer. The car would be totalled. The deer would be dead, but intact.

all it does is just let you have an open casket funeral, its a brain bucket... keeps your head together. but i will say on a dirtbike a helmet saved my ass more then once
