another COB question (bit technical)

Paypal charges extra for international payments. True, it is probably already rolled into the price in most cases and it is nice to have the option to save the 4.5% by using alternative payment methods.
Bonjour
Yes I agree...especially for big order...
And I guess it is not too difficult to use Western Union...free...and safe!??
And it is better than cash in an envelope....

bumping my old thread again with another question, as the order time approaches.

will such driver: HLG-185H-C1050 (here the specs http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/260/HLG-185H-C-SPEC-806161.pdf) be able to single-handedly power up 5 CXB3690 32V? according to @SupraSPL tables such LEDs would draw around 35W each at 1.05A (at 50C), and the driver has 199W rated power (35x5 =175W at 50C, leaving some room if they heat up or cool down more). the driver also has 95-190V Constant Current range, which should be enough for 5 cobs at 32V each.
are these suppositions correct or am i missing something big here?

cheers

DrGhard,

Just get the total volts it can generate (95v-190v) and divide that by 5... which is 38v. the C1050 means the mA is constant.

So Yes you can run 5x as long as your COBs "consume" more than 95v and less than 190v.

They will be in series.

The way to think of it is this.. Dividing Volts.. = Series... Dividing mA.. parallel

thanks man, that is a very newbie-friendly way of explaining it hehe

And if my math are correct...I hope now...you will have 13V left on the driver and I guess there is some 730nm who run @1050mA so you could add some later on the same driver if you want!
