i really was going to leave them in the small containers to see what happens but i will transplant them into 1 gallon pots like my other plant is in. will most likely do it soon but im running out of room in my box. cant wait for harvest to make some more room for em :)

What light cycle did you have them on?(small plants) I always have done 12/12 from seed. The new seeds i might go 1 or 2 weeks of 18/6 then go to 12/12.

24/7 with 2 23w cfl's in small box until they are two weeks old and i threw them in with the hps. on 12/12.
just for an experiment i left one plant in on 24/7. it is at 2 1/2 weeks now, i want to see the difference in growth here in another week or two. the growth on the 24/7 cfl is staying real compact and short. i have the cfl about 2 inches from top. right now it is smaller then the others at the same age that i had put into 12/12 at two weeks from seed. we'll see if it turns out.

saw first white hairs on the next in line. 3 1/2 weeks old.

I only saw the last couple pictures when i posted this morning.

I just finished reading the whole thread. Sorry to hear about your herm, but it looks like you came out ahead with some fat buds and a few seeds the throw in there with it.

Looking forward to the harvest.

thanks, i am planning on water curing most of this bud if not all of it. cant wait for it to be finished.

i have completely switched to home brewed guano tea's for nutrients.

what is the npk ratio of the guano you have? i got a 4 pack of different types of guano's for like 30 bucks to my door. seemed pretty cheap and legit since its organic. no more ph'ing. no more over feeding. I am loving it so far.

Water curing: the art of placing buds in a container about 1/2 way and filling water so they are all submerged. replace water every 24 hours. pretty sure you shouldn't leave the lid on the jar or whatever you are using to water cure in as evaporation of plant matter needs to happen to be successful. (most people punch holes in the top of the cap so water can be easily drained) Do this for 7 full days and then dry buds as normal. They will dry super fast. once dried they are able to be smoked. basically you can go from on the plant to in your bowl in a week's time without any mold, harshness, being too dry, etc.

water curing takes away from looks, smell, taste, and weight of the bud. BUT that less amount of weight = more thc to plant ratio since the plant is being broken down and the thc is not. (thc is not water soluble) this is fine by me and im sure the wifey will not mind less of a smell when smoked / drying.

Interesting. You should cure some each way and post your results. It would be nice to see if there are any differences.

kinda worried about the smell. i might have to set up another box w/ a homemade filter to dry in. its getting cold already so temps are in the low 70's high 60's. which brings me to my next point, will try dry or will they take forever and mold?

i am going to try and pick out any seeds that are on the outside and visible before water curing so i can attempt to use them. i will most likely air dry one or two tops either way :)

low 70's to upper 60's is fine to air dry, as long as there is some air circulation in the room (not directly blowing on drying cannabis though)

chopped the one that was leaning into the wall from weight. no scales so i cannot get a wet weight on it. water curing for 6 days. this will give me a taste of what the water curing will do to the bud before i go and do the whole crop. by the time the bud is dried rest of the plant should be ready to come down. this bud was for sure more developed then the rest and most of the hairs were orange.

this helped make some room in the box also :)

nuff talkin heres the good part....

Looks good, the whole water curing sketches me out though, doesn't make any sense to me.
thc is not soluble in water, but plant matter is. over a week's time of sitting and changing water daily all the junk comes out.

example: throw a leaf in your pool. let it sit there for a few days. the leaf went into the pool green. after a couple days it turns brown. This is due to all of the plant matter being flushed from the leaf when the water is absorbed into the leaf. do this for long enough and the chlorophyll will be removed and you will be left with a nice clean smooth smoke filled with thc :)
