Another hermie question

I don't know how I've stressed (18/6 mh, temp: light 82-84, dark 72-73, 30-40 humidity water approx every 3-4 days depending on soil) my autoflowers but from a post a couple days ago I'm starting to find more hermies in my crop. It's wierd bc they are on lower nodes and not directly in the buds from what I can see. So my question is is there any way I can cut what looks to be the seed pod off the plant in hopes to salvage them or should I just let the crop go hermie and start over with the fem seeds I have waiting? Really need some educated guidance here, if thats not you please don't post, no offense.

Just keep removing any male flowers if it's happening to the whole crop.
If it's just one or two plants then isolate them if possible, you can always make hash or something out of them later.
Otherwise I'd trash them, they're going to fertilize your crop and mess with your whole flowering regime...

It's probably half my crop which is a wopping 4 plants (I have 2 regs I'm vegging for shits and giggles) and its not overwhelmig amount so, yet, so should I just xacto at a 45 and be careful?

Lol "xacto" had to google that! :wall:

If you think you can remove all the male flowers then cut them out. This'll be a daily job obviously. If not, then xacto it is.
It's a bit of a balancing act deciding if it's worth salvaging, or if you should get your stanley out...

Are you sure they are male flowers? "
  • what looks to be the seed pod

? If those 'seed pods' have a pistol coming out they could be just pre-calyxes.

How about a photo?

I mean this is the first time I've delt with the issue as this is my second grow. I posted a couple days ago with some pics that others confirmed and after reaseaching and seeing them start to turn "banana" on one plant I am assuming it was male flower. Here are a couple pics.

So after some research and watching the one plant that had maturing pods I've decided to seculed the plant and use plastic wrap to cover the buds and pods while removing them to try to contain as much pollen as possible. Now since its an auto I'm going to move it up to my room and keep the others down stairs. Also going to repeat the above process to the other plants that are showing signs of herm but their male parts arent very mature so just going to extract the few spots and keep a close eye on them as they are in my downstaris bathroom so I have a lot of supervision.

In the second picture, i think i see white hairs. If you can take a close-up on the top part, do it. It may not be a male, but a hermie, in wich case you can just pull the pollen sacks off and let the female parts develop.

Edit, it's definately a hermie. Just cut the balls off.
