Any advice for my next grow set up?

Im on my first grow, but I can help but think about my next set up. Im planning on upgrading to a 4Wx8Lx7H tent, 2 cool hood 600s, 1 450cfm fan and carbon filter.
What I would like to do is flower 9 plants under each bulb for a total of 18 plants, each will be in 2 gallon pots +- 1/2 gallon. Ill veg for 3-4 weeks under 20/4 light schedule. And I would like a minimum harvest of 1.5oz per plant. Im not certain as to what strains Ill be using but they will be fast flowering, good yielding indicas for sure.
Since Im still on my first grow idk how well my methods will yield but my plants are healthy and growing noticably every day so I must be doing things right. Does 1.5 zips a plant sound feasable for a 1 month veg?
Also I'd like tips from anyone that has a similar set up. What seems to work best for you? What do you yield?

Dude i get a crappy average of at least 3 a plant in my tent.ive used coolshade before back to back with n open shade and the difference between performance was huge.because they tend to have a thick layer of glass inbetween the bulb n ur plants which reflects or stops as much light getting through.would hav loved to show yoy some pics jus so u cud see how big the difference was.id go for open shades all day long but get a bigger extraction rate as the heat of 2 opens is massive. 8 inch rvk or rhino kit id go with..what media u using in ut pots?

Open shade as in an open wing reflecter? Thats interesting that the glass blocks light, I hadnt considered that. Im using a 600w open wing reflecter right now and Im battling heat, although I only have one 12" oscillating fan in the grow area right now.
Im probly going to use a mix of 1/2 FFOF soil and 1/2 perlite, vermaculite, and some additives like guano and such.
So you suggest 2 open wing reflectors with a larger exhaust rather than the cool hoods? Thats interesting, Im definately considering it now.

ff is not great and prefer roots or biobizz no need to add much perlite
8" is way overkill when you work out the cfm but do like the rhino
i am currently changing from aircooled to adjusta wings there a nice shade

id rahter use a 1000w than to hoods

which is a perfect wattage in there

Originally I wanted to get a 1000w in a 5x5 area and run 16 plants as a sea of green. But I got to thinking that 2 600's with 18 plants total would probly yield more.
So you second the notion that air cooled hoods are less effecient?

Also Agito, why do you perfer roots and biobizz over ff?

just i seen a few diarys ff it seems to burn plants

a 1000w in a 4x4 to 5x5 is ideal and has the potential to yield a kg is that not enough lol but you need a good hood with a good light spread like the adjusta

you could do 9 plants might just take an extra week veg no big deal

Yh sorry open shade=open wing...and as long as you get a big extraction,filtration kit thats replacing the air fast enough to keep room cool.obv inlets will be needed too.heat will have to be sucked out then put somewhere so id recomend using a seperate fan to bring cool air in to meet your exhaust(outside tent) so your cooling hot air before throwing it out into outside world.this might not matter depending wether uve got a ticket to gro or not wherebouts u at uk or usa?

My mate uses adjusta wings n hes constantly moaning about having dark spots directly under bulb with them.not used em myself tho n 8 inch might b overkill but better to b safe than sorry.

Thanks for the heads up. The 8" sounds good to me cause if it is overkill I can just buy a fan speed controller, and still have that extra power if I need it.
Now I thought the issue with the cool hoods was the glass casing holding some light back, doesnt the adjusta wing have glass too?

About venting the tent. I'd rather not vent outside, but its always an option.
This set up will be in a spare bedroom. Is it likely that I could just vent into the room and keep it around ideal temps with a small a/c unit in the room? If it would require a large a/c, then venting outside would be my only option really

a 6" rvk would do double that space and more lol

I grow in n upstairs bedroom venting into the same bedroom with the window slightly open obv making sure no1 can see in and making sure it doesnt look suspicious.its enough to keep air fresh and temps down.been pretty stupidly really swappin my open shades for my cools in summer cuz of high temp probs.only running on 5" at the moment tho.going to get a tornado when this ones down with smart controller.wont have any probs then.will be badboy all year round
