why do you ride? exercise, save gas or some other reason? well i'm buying 1 this afternoon for exercise and something to do besides sitting in front of the tube all day long. i'm 52 years old, fat and out of shape and i think a bike is the way to go.

Do it, and spend good money if you can. Cheap Walmart bikes are not worth it.
I started riding my bike religiously to work and it changed my life. I went from being 260lbs down to 195 over the course of 2 years.

i was wanting to start with something simple, coaster brakes without all the gears. right now i hit the scales at 215. 6 years ago i weighed 285 and i lost a hundred pounds over the corse of 3 years and i've slowly been putting it back on.

Or grab and MP3 player and go for a walk. That is what I do. Smoke a jay and go for a nice walk once a day or twice a day really relaxing

Buy a comfortable seat if you are going to do alot of riding.....I'm 42 and 250 now I am just under 6' but I can't sit on the stock seat for any longer than about 3 seconds before it starts to hurt not to mention its just wrong.....Even with the grandfather seat as my boys call it I am still sore after a 3 hour tour.

another reason why i wanted to start out with a cheaper bike. i'd rather have a cheap bike collecting dust over an expensive one.

i do a lot of walking. every day i smoke a good one then go socializing at the parks or the farmers market for an hour or 2. strolling along stoned is plenty of fun but i need something to bring the heart rate up a little.

skateboarding is a workout all in its own fo real.... in a couple of months of skatin back when i was 200 lbs i lost 30 lbs, i'd prolly ride again if i had another board, not as hardcore jus a few ledges and flips, and the ride..

i need a bike though, a koo lookin ol skoo schwinn would be the lick, or jus a koo bike from a shop, not go all out, but a nice light bike for sure, wouldnt even know wut brand is good.... i hadnt really petal'd a few blocks in years... maybe its about taht time to get one
