Any ideas?

Everybody knows what, how, and where im growing i just have a couple questions that i hope my fellow RIUers can answer.

I'm growing in MG soil and perlite which has time-release nutes.

The perlite doesn't say how long it feeds but N-P-K is 4-1-6 the soil feeds up to 6 mos but it doesn't have an NPK on the bag.

My plant is about 2 wks into flowering and showing pistols like crazy but it looks like its drooping a little.

I guess what im asking is should i feed it a small amount of bloom nutes and see what it does or leave it alone because of the nutes already in the grow med?

Not sure bud but think that's backwards? ~ "The perlite doesn't say how long it feeds but N-P-K is 4-1-6 the soil feeds up to 6 mos but it doesn't have an NPK on the bag." as far as I know Perlite doesn't feed your plants..but your MG Compost Mix will..is the Perlite/MG pre-mixed? and did you mean it FEEDS FOR 6 MONTHS?

Never used MG so can't offer you any advice on that, but I think most peeps use some form of Bloom Nute when in Flower.

Peace

As far as I know perlite is inert and does not feed, Unless it is supplemented with nutrients. I use Mg soil for a base on my own soil mix, I think the ratio is about 0.9 0.6 0.6 And it does not feed all that well. What I mean is that the tiny amount of nutrients are inefficient for a flowering cannabis plant. It looks like it is in need of a watering , Pick up the pot and see if it is light, Looking at the plant and the weight of the pot is how I judge if it needs watering or not. Since there is not idea on the strain in the post but it is in the auto section I am assuming it is an auto plant. Most of the auto's i have grown are sensitive to nutrients so I would suggest using a bloom nutrient at 1/4 strength as they can be prone to over feeding . It wont hurt it if thats is what your asking provided you feed it lightly. Other then a tiny droop I see a healthy plant .What is the strain and the lighting ? Good luck:)

I wouldn't feed it. It looks like it has nute burn already. The droopy leaves looks like over watering, which would cause burn in MG soil.
Checked out the perlite, it is enriched. Perlite with food, and soil with food might be too much. When I started out, I used MG and had decent success, but I would never go back to it.

Thanks for the feedback budget buds im pretty familiar with the whole lifting the pot technique.

I'll probably just feed it some nutes and see what happens. I'm using 2 65w cfl and 1 40w cfl for my OO seed NL auto

Why would you give it more nutes? you're giving it too much already. your leaves are burning on the tips and the edges. I can tell you what will happen if you feed it some more.

Yeah now that I see what your talking about bwest I will say I fucked up on the feeding recommendation . I dont know how I missed that, I may have been looking at the wrong pics for this post. I would NOT feed it any nutrients , It does look like a slight nutrient burn . Feed it some stright water for a few feedings and see if it clears up. I'm sorry for the bad information I had a few posts up last night and I think I mistook another posters pic for yours:(

Ok let me see if i can clear this up a bit(bwest & Budget Buds)

Other then the time-release nutes in the soil this plant has been getting
nothing but ph'd tap water since day 1 with no overwatering.

The burnt leaves are from an open container of ammonia that was accidentally
put into my grow area for 20hrs with no ventilation which i posted about on RIU.

My plant was growing great as you can see in the first 2 pics until the ammonia
incident which you can see in the last 2.

I only started this thread because im 2 weeks into flowering and she hasnt put on any weight
which is probably due to the ammonia burn.

But thanks for help anyway and i'll probably end up not giving it anymore nutes at all just water.

Well the post (this one did not say anything about ammonia spillage) If your confident that the burn from the plants is from that then yes I would feed it 1/4 strength bloom nutrients and go from there.

miracle grow perlite is not inert i learned this the hard way

looks like it needs a feeding
low N higher P/K
kinda looks like its screaming for a bloom feed to me maybe wrong but i think k def appears as a burn mid way up the plant if i remember right

and she's 2 weeks past preflower from the looks of it

Thanks tekdc911 i definitely appreciate the feedback and i probably won't be using MG ever again after this grow lol.

After a couple days of back and forth im just gonna get some bloom nutes and feed her on the next watering.

Thinking about ff tiger bloom or botanicare kind bloom. Any suggestions?

ive had luck with general hydroponics flora nova 2 part
but ended up sticking with technaflora's line up and peruvian gold

as far as i know from using tiger bloom its just a suppliment isnt it ? and not a actual feed i may be wrong but i think its just a bloom booster if i remember correctly

and i use miracle grow perlite every time i mix
no sense in ordering something at twice the cost if i can just work with stuff i can find locally
i just use a handful of seed starter where i plant the seed like a party cup sized pocket that way i wont have to worry about nute sensitive pheno's they will adapt by the time they grow out of it

Thanks again for the suggestions tekdc911.

I honestly only used this particular perlite because my wife had tons of it leftover from last summer so i figured why waste the money.

As far as nutes go i picked up some gh flora series and scored a free qt of koolbloom which the sales dude said i could use alone at this point but Idk if that's true or not?
