Any of you guys use compost soil mixes?

Yeah, perlite is fine to add. I'm a little new to the whole compost thing, but I've got a bin for it goin' for my girls this season :) I guess cannabis likes aerobic bacteria over anaerobic. Just something to remember if you're gonna make a tea. or w/e, idk.

I use composted horse manure 80% compost 20% peat to stop it from compacting,,,crushed oyster shells.. Kelp meal..dried blood..bone meal...and some Epsoma bio starter ..lime...DE earth for the silica to give good plant structure...Hi Phos bat guano on the bottom..and i just water and use tea every week...super plants

I mix my own with screened native soil, high quality topsoil w/ perlite, composted horse manure.. a little sand (to help with drainage because where I grow the soil can retain a good bit of H2o) and a some peat. It seems to work out great.

I found that different nursery's make their compost in different ways. Some are mixed with sea stuff which you don't want if you're hiking it into the bush. Some use meat products and mix that with sawdust. Others make a soil with compost but add to it 50% volume of mushroom manure which might kill super sensitive plants. So if you're buying from a nursery and having it delivered find out what's in the compost before you buy. That came from my experience in preparation for this summers project.
