Well I wouldn't call myself a farmer, but I sure did love staying the summer up at my great aunt's farm... we had about 200 head of cattle and the best deer huntin' east of the Mississippi ;)

If only I knew about shrooms at that age... :hump:

I'm a farmer too and yes the farmer population on here is very low. Corn, soybeans, milo, wheat, angus cows, and quarter horses.Farming is the best career in the world. Good to see another one on here.

I live on a small family farm. Got about 50 beef cattle. I cut and bailed about 300 acres of hay last year.

Haha ya we have a few chickens and goats. Farm fresh eggs are great. Goats are good because they eat the stuff that most animals won't. But, the males stink bad. We also have some pigs, mmmmhhhh bacon.

i wish we still had chickens and hogs. we used to have almost 800 head of cattle, 600 hogs and 25 or 30 chickens. i miss the fresh bacon and eggs....but we still get fresh angus beef and i grow vegetables in the summer so that keeps me happy.

our business partner got his tractor and our grain cart stuck a few years back....we warned him about this bottomless pit, its always terrible in a wet year, but obviously he didnt listen lol.

I'm on a farm here but on a much smaller scale, I just do it for myself.

I love being a farmer, it's so much more peaceful.:blsmoke:

oh fuck, not good getting the combine stuck. at least the hopper doesnt look chuck full. is that steiger a 500 and a 7000 series combine? looks like you have some nice equipment. how many acres you farm?

yeah i'm a fourth generation farmer...probably more because my family were farmers in poland as well. i'm the last one in line unless i have kids...which isnt likely. my brothers left my dad and i to run the farm ourselves. we did have a partner but last year he decided to split so now its just me and my dad...we're going to have around 1200 acres this year. i was surprised to see so few farmers as well.
