I'd like to go to america about 6-700 years ago and warn the natives, educate them and when the europeans arrived watch them shit as we speak these english words "we've been waiting" all with a devilish grin. Otherwise modern america is the best its gonna get for me.

you would have to go back MUCH farther then 700 years to freak them out royally..

This reminds me of a short science fiction story I read years ago. A man in the future was a bit of a history and math buff, and one of his heroes was Pascal. Pascal's did a lot in mathematics in a relatively short number of years before devoting his life to God and religion. The future man thought that if Pascal had a simple pocket calculator, he would have breezed through the basic calculations and have been able to go much, much further than he had done. The future man had a calculator - he also had a time machine.

And so, future man went back, met Pascal, showed him how to use the calculator, and then returned to the future.

Pascal saw this strange man with this strange device. Surely this was a sign from the devil. Pascal knew that there was only one path to salvation. He devoted the rest of his life to God and religion.

I lived outside joburg, hope the coruption in the government isnt as bad anymore, when i was there there was "power shedding" going on where random blackouts would happen all over the city whenever. I miss all the fresh fruit. I dont even eat fruit anymore, it sucks here, and the caviar is way over priced :):):)
Johburg is nuts, reverted to african state level allready, Cape Province feels like a difirent country.

I think i would like to see under water someday and do some scuba diving. Its gotta be like a whole nother world down there.

Go for it!! It is another world. I'm a qualified dive master and have spent 4 days in total under water (all my dives added together). I've dived extensively in SE Asia and also Egypt. I recommend !! Life is too short!! This is a must!

I've been researching places to get a job at to move to when I graduate.. the three top of my list are Colorado Springs, CO; Anchorage, AK; and San Jose, CA. I'd like somewhere in the Raleigh/Durham area of NC, but I don't do so well in hot & humid weather.

Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill is a great place to live. And it's actually not that hot and humid as you think. Only a two months out of the year it is. The rest of the time is very seasonal. I lived in Chapel Hill when I was a kid. I fucking love that place. Best years of my life. Which ain't sayin much, most of my life has pretty much sucked.
